Surely a great loss to AN members as well.

One of the world's truly decent chaps!

Had helped me, along with countless others!

Will be sadly missed!

"Ubon" Joe helped me on countless occasions and was always prompt to reply to any problem or inquiry regarding Thai immigration. Finally good to see a picture to put with someone I regarded as a true friend. I'm back in the USA, now but I will miss him. Sorry to see this news.

That is very sad news indeed.  Ubon Joe was an invaluable resource for reliable information on immigration matters for many years.  He was invariably polite, helpful and responsive, and he helped countless expats on this forum, including me.  He will be sorely missed indeed.

Ave atque vale Ubon Joe

I hadn't seen Ubon Joe on the forum recently and wondered...

Joe helped me personally through PM's as well as always being amazed at his knowledge of visa affairs and noticed always being respected by just about everyone here.

Thank you Joe

Utmost respect for a true gentleman, who helped me several times. Gone too soon, but not forgotten.

It is a rare event when a thread is unanimous in its posts.

RIP a legend.

Very sorry to read this sad news. My thoughts and condolences go out to all his family.

Many thanks to him for all the help and advice he gave out to everyone, myself included.

R.I.P. Joe

Joe was one of the very best!

He always had accurate info and always presented in a low key manner.

RIP... RIP......

R.I.P. ???? Thank you for all your help over the years ????

Not going to be the same without him giving advice.

You've helped me and so many others.

The comments in this thread are a true testament of his knowledge about Thai visas and his patient help to a whole lot of people.

So sorry to hear this news.  He was so patient and helpful when I asked a visa question or had a problem.  He will be sadly missed.

Gosh, very sad. His knowledge of the subjects he moderated was superb and always well advised. He certainly helped me with some very nuanced or tricky scenarios.

RIP Joe and thank you for your service to the community.

This is a major loss for not only his family and this forum, but for the entire expat community in Thailand.

His selfless dedication to help others out of pickle, based on facts rather than hearsay will be dearly missed.

Sincere condolences to his family and friends.

It won't be the same without you, you will be sadly missed. Rest in Peace and Thank you.

The mere fact so many have mentioned having not seen Joe lately speaks volumes and i would like to add my name to that list, he was  one of the most helpful moderators on this site for many years RIP Joe
