Bangkok Teen's Harrowing Escape from Online Predator
Photo via KhaoSod In a shocking case from the Lat Krabang district of Bangkok, a Thai transwoman is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy and blackmailing him with explicit content. The boy, along with his parents, sought help from the non-profit organization Saimai Survive. The young victim recounted that he stumbled upon the suspect’s profile on X (formerly Twitter). Posing as a woman with a captivating profile picture, the transwoman posted seeking a sexual partner. The unsuspecting boy reached out, leading to a meeting at the suspect’s residence, where a harrowing experience unfolded. Upon arrival, the transwoman claimed to be the sister of the woman the boy thought he was meeting. While waiting for this "sister," the transwoman persuaded the boy to take a shower. Seizing the opportunity, the suspect then inappropriately touched him. The boy, frightened, managed to flee. However, his ordeal was far from over. The suspect had filmed the boy in the shower and threatened to release the footage. She also saved all the explicit exchanges from their online chats and shared the content publicly, calling him a "perverted thief," leaving the boy mortified and terrified. Saimai Survive quickly involved the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau. Their initial probe revealed that the suspect, a university student in Lat Krabang, might have deceived as many as 100 victims before. Another victim, a 21-year-old woman, also approached the foundation, detailing how she too had been blackmailed after sending private content which was later leaked by the suspect. With the investigation ongoing, there's a rallying call for tighter online safety measures and greater awareness of digital threats, reported The Thaiger. -- 2025-02-24 -

Tips for first time tourists, especially western teenage girls
Then I said...........Trust comes from time spent with people,and letting your guard down is how trouble starts. I didn't mean trust no one. I meant for 19 year old girls coming to Thailand, they shouldn't trust anyone because there are predators everywhere that look for victims who will trust them from the get go. It's plain stupid for a girl to trust people she doesn't know in another country. You can have a lot of fun if you travel in groups, never leave with anyone and watch your drinks and drinking if you're going to night clubs. Having a few people in life you can really trust is a blessing, but how many can you really trust in a lifetime? Friends are made over time and immediately, but trust takes time. .
