Is it really a war when only one side has cruise missiles, Navy Jet fighter planes and a professionally trained army with high tech weapons? Nope. This is called genocide.

Actually, it is called suicide.  FAFO.

Goodbye Gaza.  If you are going to kick a tiger in the ass, you had better have a REAL good plan for dealing with its teeth.

Hamas playing right into Netanyahu’s hands.

He’s already declared this to be war, he’ll wrap himself in the Israeli flag to shield himself from his troubles and  Palestinians will pay with their blood in the reprisals that are coming.

It's quite likely. I always thought that the Palestinians would (maybe) have obtained more by applying Ghandi's precepts.

However, it also demonstrates once more that Netanyahu's policy has not brought peace and security.

I understand being critical of Israel but the obvious cheerleading for this aggressive attack by Hamas is rather nauseating.

Usually coming from leftists the types that Hamas would want to kill.

Launching 7,000 rockets targeted at heavily populated civilian areas is also a tad one-sided.

Wasn't it 5000 rockets that Hamas launched into Israel ?

Hamas TV is saying that 2,000 more rockets were fired, in addition to the 5,000 that the Hamas chief commander announced at the beginning of this operation.

They probably feel they have nothing to lose.

That's where I go for objective reporting. Hamas TV.

They'd be wrong.

It's been at war ever since it was formed, from surrounding muslim nations attacking it who have always opposed it's formation, and who are dedicated to it's demise.

I doubt the vast majority of Palestinians have had any say in the matter.

True.

The only way to end this conflict for once and for all is to put AI supercomputers as government leaders.

No more leaders with emotions, holding grudges.

Just an objective AI supercomputer.

We should have a thread on ‘Is AI Objective’.

Hopefully enough Islamic terrorists will meet allah this time, what a stupid move.

When a terrorist militia launch thousands of rockets at the unarmed civilian population of another country, I think you can safely assume it to be a declaration of war

You should also look up “genocide” because you obviously have no idea whatsoever of the meaning of the word

But the policy adopted by Hamas undoubtedly will, eh ?

The 13 civil Israeli places were overrun by Hamas militants at this moment. There's no more IDF and Israeli police & civilians in these settlements.

What you think is going to happen next ?

Will Israel just sit back and move the border over a bit and carry on as before ?

When the Hamas militants of Gaza will reach the Hamas factions of the West Bank you have a different situation.

It can spread in uncontrollable urban warfare in all directions over the Israeli territories.

If additional Hezbollah militia is coming from the north you know now already that you're outnumbered with your IDF military personnel.

What on earth are you talking about; you made a comment containing two paragraphs, and I simply replied to the second of those. Stop wasting the moderators time, they have enough to do dealing with genuine complaints

Israel are current getting their reservists ready for military action , The invaders will not make it to the West bank , the IDF now have the right to shoot on site and take no prisoners .

The first paragraph makes the question in your reply pointless!

By quoting only the second paragraph, you make my post look as if I were supporting Hamas.

Yet to be learned.

How many eyes for an eye and teeth for a tooth.

No pun intended, but from the direct footage I saw it's unfortunately a plain genocide.

I've mostly critics to the Israeli government, but seeing Israeli children and families being executed with taking selfies by Palestinian killers is plain barbaric.

It's a tricky political situation, in Israel, The West Bank, and Gaza. Still early to know how it will pan out. In Israel, Netanyahu could harness it to quell protests, and plead for some feigned unity, maybe gaining political support "due to the situation" etc. Then again, it's such a shocker, that'd he'd be hard pressed to spin not being responsible. Then again, it's what he does. My money is on more domestic friction within Israel following this, certainly if factoring an aftermath involving numerous casualties and hostages. Anyway, he'll try to spin the blame as laying with the "left", as usual.

For Hamas part, I think this was a obviously a long planned operation (and from an operational point of view, a brilliant one). Why now, though? They just got some extra economic concessions, and the nearing winter is no time for Gaza to lick the surely coming wounds. I'd say it's a mix of making their bid for the crown (Abbas's health, again) through keeping relevant, a message to the Saudis and others who contemplate normalization of relations with Israel, and lastly - it's about the Hamas prisoners held by Israel. Hamas officials, and operatives did not cover that the operational goals include capturing Israelis. Securing the release of Palestinian prisoners was a long standing promise by Sinwar (himself a former prisoner), so either he actually feels strongly about it, or mounting political criticism on this front made an impact. Probably both.

In the West Bank, Hamas routinely challenges PA control and status. Almost any aggressive action taken by Hamas results in mass displays of popular support, even in towns which are PA strongholds. This was no different. Again goes back to positioning for the post-Abbas era.

The response to the atrocities will make shock and ore look like sunday school choir Practice goodby Hamas ????

If Hamas ever ran into Hezbollah, the result would be bitter war, due to the Sunni-Shiite divide.
