German accused faces criminal charges at home over under-age liaison with a 17-year-old Pattaya bar girl

Deputy National Police Chief General Surachate Hakparn or Big Joke at a press conference on December 8th when he updated reporters on the case. The senior police officer plans to travel to Germany in January 2024 as German suspect 55-year-old Jens Kirch is cooperating with German prosecutors who may charge him with offences relating to his activities in Pattaya in September last year.

Top Thai cop, General Surachate Hakparn, reveals wanted German national Jens Kirch could face possible charges in Germany for underage sex with a minor in Pattaya. Kirch is collaborating with German prosecutors. ‘Big Joke’ meanwhile probes possible police corruption claims in Pattaya while pursuing justice and keeping the Kingdom’s fight against human trafficking on track.

It has emerged that the 55-year-old German national Jens Kirch, wanted in Thailand for underage sex with a minor, may face charges in Germany for the same criminal acts committed in Pattaya in September 2022. Additionally, it is understood that Mr Kirch is working with German prosecutors and may assist in the investigation being carried out by Deputy National Police Chief General Surachate Hakparn who is travelling to Germany in January 2024.

 

In the case assigned to him by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin of crime, escape, and pursuit, of underage sex suspects, General Surachate Hakparn, commonly known as ‘Big Joke,’ sheds light on the legal ins and outs surrounding the case of Jens Kirch, a 55-year-old German fugitive charged with the sexual assault of a minor in Thailand. 

 

Already the unfolding saga has seen disciplinary action against two Thai police officers in Pattaya linked with the case in late 2022 before the Provincial Court, diplomatic efforts seeking the man’s extradition and international cooperation now being pursued by ‘Big Joke’ to ultimately bring him to justice.

I think I read somewhere there is no extradition treaty between Germany and Thailand

legal or not. Any older person that wants to stick his w!llie in a minor should be locked up. Also men here that think they can have a normal relation with a girl thats 35 years younger..........

It’s because she is a prostitute so falls under the obscenity act, being under 18, despite age of consent here being 15. Wonder if he knew her age. Bit ott cops going to Germany and he could have his life ruined when she is technically not underage. Bar owners should get equal treatment if that’s the case. But, yeah, if you’re that kind of age and actively going for young girls, you’ve probably got a problem.

Foreign men will soon need to have proof of age before taking a hooker.....Pattaya has something like 25000 hookers, in a place where prostitution doesn't exist....unless of course the cops can make money!

Don't tell me they are going to fly people around the world  for something like this----she has probably had  (being kind) many customers, none would have been younger then her ,

so all were braking the  criminal code of Thailand, and places like the USA etc.

 

This hot shot policeman gets a lot of publicity, while solving crimes--maybe he should be put on something high profile,  like Murder, now who could he track down that murdered one if his colleagues.

 

Or maybe would it be safer to stay with a Bar Girl crime......

When it comes to identity documents, you can find dates in both Thai and Gregorian formats at the same time on their ID cards. T

Also i'd imagine relies on how close to 18 she was, most people in the UK start experimenting around 13 for example, it's legal from 16 if not much of an age difference, that might be where this guy has issues as i'd imagine its the same in Germany.

 

Having said that in Thailand it's not exactly uncommon (just look around) so they are basically highlighting one individual, whereas the entire country from north to south has these issues.

Maybe I'm missing something, but that 'even if there is a Extradition Treaty' - why would they have one if it's unconstitutional?

A 17 yr old working in a bar in Thailand is illegal especially if she is selling sex. The owner and others who knew and hired her will be charged with human trafficking. They will get time at BKK central hotel. A 17 yr old can look like a 25 yr old here in Thailand. Going after the customer on this is a sham. He paid the cops off and I don't blame him. Just to get away from this loony situation. The cops and management are the scum.

Long ago, I worked on a project in Malaysia. 

 

All government forms are dual-language, Bahasa Malaysia and English, with one exception, the application for a Work Permit, which was in BM only!
