Bangkok people coming to Jomtien condo every weekend...what to do

Featured Replies

Everyone even my close Jomtien friends are scared to get together from now on if you're not fully vaccinated. It's getting scary out there. But there are dozens of people coming to our beach road condo every weekend and who knows what they are bringing. I ain't moving. Should condos demand certificates or tests, ban the owners? We ride with them in the lifts but they touch many common things. No one says they want to go to Bangkok, haha, not even for a vaccine, but Bangkok is coming here folks.

Shocking that we made it thousands of years to this point, I bet few can imagine what life was like just 150 years ago in Thailand.

OP, you should probably execute the people visiting from Bangkok, you know, just to be safe!

Some people look around them and think: 'i go on with my life because its supposedly a pandemic but how come i do not know anyone thats died of it and the ones that got it said it was like a mild flu'. And if you happen to know someone that died of it that person was with one leg in the grave anyway.

Chill out, watch less tv, read the covid threads on thaivisa with bemusement and you will be surprised how little changed.

I know a few who have had covid…

Most were ok, no or mild to moderate cold symptoms.

Others more severe, stuck in bed for a week.

A couple of others hospitalized, one friend (late 40s healthy) in ICU but not quite at the ventilator stage (was told he was close).

One guy had mild symptoms & pre-existing asthma.. his asthma is now gone & his lung capacity improved !!! Go figure…

Here’s a point for all the people who say it’s just a mild flu… You probably had it !!!!

Brand the Bangkokian’s with a Scarlet B so that they are easy to identify, hell we don’t want them in Bang Lamung any more than you do in Jomtien!  Next, divert some of the vaccine monies to build a wall at the Chon Buri province border, only to pass if you can prove full vaccination.  And Sinovac ain’t cuttin’ it, no matter what the Overlords say.

The only lesson I learned from covid is how terrifyingly easy it is to manipulate a population. This time its covid, 75 years ago it was something else.

Condominium co-owners cannot be banned.

Sure they can.  At the border.  Leaving BKK or entering Chonburi.  And if they get through the border, the BIB can track 'em down to their condo.

I'm not suggesting it's a good idea.  But it's quite simple.  Not easy, though.  And pretty stupid, IMO.  When there's so many infected people anyway.

I suppose you should not have to worry much about Bangkok Covies, based on my observation.
Beach road in Jomtien was fairly empty when I left there for BKK at 5pm Saturday.

Normally on a holiday weekend it would be packed. So where were they?

And there was very little traffic heading from Bangkok on the motorway.

There was clearly more traffic going towards Bangkok.

Should it not apply both ways?
Its so easy, stop all business and trade. See what the consequences are then.

Are these kind of draconian restrictions going to end it when it is already so far spread.
Many provincial markets are being closed.
So Thai people work hard to produce and then they cannot sell. Where is that going to get things.
There may be more people dying soon due to the consequences of this than from the disease itself.

I'll clarify my post.

Co-owners cannot be banned from entering the condominium building by other co-owners.

You might want to consider using the stairs. Of all places the lift is probably one of the most likely places to catch a dose.

That is correct, I used to use a broom handle with a condom on the end

to prod the lift buttons, but I got Covid anyway, so it must have got through

the condom and walked up the handle, how crafty is that?

Nope i havent got it, my 93 year old aunt had it, she is 95 now... As did other people i know, and not a single one of them found it serious. And no, i havent been vaccinated, not that i am against it, not at all. Its just that i dont see a point in vaccinating myself from something that WILL NOT kill me. But if someone wants to do it, go ahead. Free choice. The old and frail should vaccinate, if they want, but for the rest of us covid is insignificant.

Just look at the statistics of the average age of death with covid, 80 plus in the West. And those stats are heavily skewered, dying from covid is very different then dying with covid.

Sorry mate, as long as i am not able to follow the money leading to this 'study' its not worth the paper its written on. Too much money is going around in pharma for people not to be corrupted. We both know bad news sells, and all bad news surrounding covid sells even better.

Unfortunately it's no longer a free choice when traveling internationally,  and vaccine passports are very popular now in some countries... and you can bet your bottom dollar it will take on everywhere before this show is over. Like it or not, you too may be vaccinated. It will reach the stage where unvaccinated people will be considered dirty and the enemy of the human race.

Keep your immature remarks to yourself. You are what makes this site unbearable.
