It's a bit off-topic, but I think you are referring to treating a patient and I am talking about accepting a patient as their primary physician.  Doctor's can decline to take someone as a patient.  In the case of unvaccinated children most physicians who deny them do so on the basis that having them in the office endangers other patients.  

 

It can be a bit of a pain finding a primary care provider or a specialist.  It has a lot to do with the type of insurance you have.  If you are on Medicare/Medicaid, they may not take you at all. 

During the surge of Covid, my medical provider didn't let anyone in the office unless they had an appointment and were screened (temp check, etc.).  Once you were in, you went directly to the exam room -- no sitting in the waiting area.   You waited outside or in your car.

In the end, the 800mg dose was chosen for Phase 2, taken twice a day for 5 days. Phase 3 trial MOVe-OUT had excellent interim results, upon which it was approved in the UK to be marketed as Lagevrio.

for those that have had a Jab but not a follow up for whatever reason, then it is a 5 day course. or so it appears. also read that these capsule's cost just 6 baht each....   if I understand it correct for those of us that have lifelong 'Vaccine allergy anaphylaxis'  low dosage per day is given over 3 months.

 

Will be asking my Dr next week on my 100 day appointment.. maybe somewhat wiser if the Dr has any knowledge on this.

Seems to be total misinformation that you got. Molnupiravir is a treatment for infected people. Makes no difference whether vaccinated or not. The price is around USD700 for a course (40 pills). At 6 Baht per, it would immediately disappear from the Thai market.

 

Maybe I read that it will be investigated as a prophylaxis. Then the idea would be to give it to people who were exposed to Covid. At the current price, that would hardly be practical.

Firstly, the economy isn't doing too badly during covid. Your assumption that health services have been adversely affected by lock downs appears to be at odds with medical opinion which universally maintains that failure to lock down will overwhelm the health system. Finally, Why would anyone imagine that the economy would do well during a period of rampant pandemic?

 

What we are likely to see is lock downs for the unvaccinated and close to normal life for the vaccinated. See Austria and Australia.
