Why are medics getting Pfizer shortly after they have had 2 jabs of Sinovac? Not surprising Thais view Sinovac as inferior and are equally sceptical about Sinopharm. They are the most expensive and least effective vaccines.

It was found to have metal particles in Japan - except that was the Moderna vaccine.

It causes fatal blood clots...............................................- except that is the Astra Zeneca vaccine.

Sinovac uses older technology but is still a high quality vaccine.  Its efficacy was not as high as Pfizer - but they only tested those that showed significant symptoms.

Astra Zeneca was only 60% effective in some patient groups and the Sinovac efficacy was similar to Astra Zeneca at a general level of 70 - 80%.

Why is the China vaccine attacked?  Because they are regarded as an 'enemy' by the West and most Westerners don't even understand the distortions and propaganda that they have been subject to since birth.

Has Thailand conducted any research into the efficacy of Sinopharm (not sinovac)

Sinopharm is the only vaccine I am considering since I dont trust mRNA technology, necessarily, It seems by Israel study that the Phizer only works for a few months < 6 months without "boosters".

 

Ill take the Sinopharm as its the one based on regular tech / inactivated virus, so seems relatively risk free?

Not low quality but low efficacy so nobody wants it as long as there are better alternatives.

 

If folks in China can choose, I’m sure everybody will choose the one with higher efficacy such as AZ, Pfizer, Moderna.

Maybe they are correct, it may be a high quality vaccine but it is not an effective vaccine, especially  against Delta and other current contagious mutations. There is a big difference between quality and effectiveness, yet the current Govt still injects it into Thai peoples arms. And if it is so good, why is the Thai Govt now giving Sinovac as the first shot and AZ as a second one. And if you have had two shots of Sinovac you will need a booster a few months later. Nothing but a bunch of liars. !!!!!

Just yet another tantrum being thrown by CCP by anyone being critical against it.  In their flawed eyes, they see themselves as some type of perfect Gods. 

They could not dare to own up to the virus being quite likely (even possibly) as a result of a lab leak.

Same with the vaccine.  A mature and confident nation would openly concede issues, mistakes etc.  But China is caught in this vicious cycle of denying fault, like a mental illness.  

 

Sinovac is not as efficacious against the Delta variant.  It is against Alpha.  It can be effectively used it appears when a better vaccine is used as a booster.  So, it can still have a place in the scheme of things.

Other vaccines are preferred as we move forward.  Sinovac will be the last choice or not at all.  If a Western produced vaccine fell short of efficacy, it would be called out just as much.  But it happens to be Chinese produced and therefore we are all suddenly 'Anti-China'. 

 

There are also complex travel issues to consider whereby Sinovac is not recognized by many nations. Future travel will require vaccine passports/documents. 

 

China cannot shut people up outside its CCP controlled borders.  People are entitled to criticize what they want.  It's called freedom of speech.  

Look at the media gag going on and now the Xi Jing Ping 'thought' curriculum being rolled out in schools to further brainwash their citizens to revere this madman like a God. 

Really frightening at the evil mind control going on.  We saw what happened in Mao Ze Dong era. The great famine ....  I feel sorry for the oppressed Chinese citizens who really don't want to be a part of all this.

You beat me to it. Studies show it was okay (just okay, certainly not great) for the alpha variant, but Sinovac just doesn't pack nearly enough punch for the delta variant, which is a whole different kettle of fish.

There is an independent report which states the Sinovac is the safest of all vaccines in use and has the least side affects. No the report wasn't from the WHO.

Its very effective against serious illness & deaths, has fewer & less risky side effects and is in abundant supply - perfect for healthy under 50's who are at little risk from the virus anyway, but gives them added protection. Leave the more risky vaccines to the elderly and other vulnerable people.

Suggest that the armchair critics who condemn Sinovac, check out the science journals who endorse the product. Perhaps they can also explain why there are no Covid related deaths in China for a year and the amazing US is recording around 640,000 deaths. Fact is that in Thailand 680,000 health workers were given Sinovac, 618 were later tested as being positive, 600 with no symptoms and the rest with minor, according to the Lancet its 94% effective against infection and 96% effective against severe symptoms requiring hospitalisation   

In fact I asked for Sinovac and was given Pfizer without an option for change. 

 

But hey if you want an expert opinion ask any US politician and inject Hydroxychloroquine as a precaution!!
