Clearly it is because I am a hunsum man, and I do sit dow. I buy drink, pay bar fine, buy a car, build a house, take care of family and give her money to spend. What´s not to love?

Maybe part of it is lack of cultural attachment.

Everyone has a rank and position within their country or culture. Who your parents are, the way that you dress, the cultural references that you understand, etc. all tell people where you rank in your society. Often, this rank does not change even if a person's economic position changes (they earn more money).

The only way to interact without the baggage of social ranking is by interacting with someone from outside of your culture who doesn't understand the social and cultural ranking signals that are present.

I am not sure if they increase their social status if they bring a Farang home. I guess it depends on the baseline. If she is from Isaan with one or more ex-husbands, and some kids, then sure, almost anything will bring her status up, a new watch, or something she can show on Facebook will do.

Most women enter into a committed relationship with someone because they provide for them or increase their social standing.  They also try to maximise this by finding the person who will allow the highest provision or increase in social standing that they can secure.  It's likely that native women seek out foreign men because A, they are far richer and have much higher status than the local men within their reach, or B, local men are not interested in them at all so none are in their reach.

The opinion of many Thai women I have known/know

All things being equal, Thai women probably dont prefer "hanging with a foreigner"

 

You may be confusing hookers and their customers, who, of course, will tell the customer what he wants to hear, and hang with anyone who keeps paying.

 

Obviously, things like money, security, trust, monogamy etc, enters into the equation, that is the same all over the world.

LOL...Money, it is all about the money.  Delude yourself all you want, but it isn't because your exotic, erotic, or handsome.  Also face.  If you have nice car, condo, or job even better.  

If you give them all the money the want, you will be all these things to them.

2 friends of my wife just wanted a baby with Farang. No money. After they got the baby they kicked Farang sperm donor out of their life.

As others have said MONEY and in most cases a better lifestyle.

Thai women that I have known have all commented that Thai men are often lazy, not dependable and are butterflies flitting from flower to flower.

Hence why their are an abundance of unmarried mothers. Which leads to another point, Thai men rarely accept another mans child, farangs will !

So, they can find money, dependability, acceptance of off spring and often a much higher standard of living including International travel.
