Siam Rath reported on training for the Royal Thai police at the police school in Nakhon Pathom in central Thailand.

Guest of honor was deputy commander of the RTP Gen Piya Uthayo who delivered the opening address on what is expected.

The training over three grueling days was designed to show station chiefs and those of the rack of superintendent how to be more efficient.

ASEAN NOW notes that the RTP have come under a fair degree of fire in recent days.

Their critics say the only efficiency they muster on a regular basis is hiding the truth and engaging in corrupt activities.

With increased efficiency comes more efficient deployment of manpower.

A reduction of manning levels will be announced shortly.

Look out all you guys in inactive posts.

Many RTP are very efficient. At working the franchise, and showing alot of creativity, when it comes to creating new income streams.

As it relates to actual law enforcement, they bring very little to the table.

Interesting, I will definitely say interesting. However, I've always done it my way and will continue to do so, but thanks for the free bees.

Somewhat seriously - As QR codes have become the method of payment choice for many people and people begin to move away from carrying cash, the police might have a serious problem collecting their cash "tips." Perhaps this will be a topic for a future seminar?

About time please officers were put on the RACK to increase efficiency

A meaningless public relations exercise, nothing will change, because the will to change just isn't there.  It all comes from the top of the tree and the top is rotten, so the roots can't operate.

There you go, you got in one...'...more efficient...' enforcing the law would be a good start. Ha, probably not even on the list.

More efficient in what; extortion, highway robbery or impersonating?

To be honest, never had a problem with the buggers except when the copper wanted to buy back the Glock he sold me for half price.

But in general they seem to be a little slow, for me thats OK, bless em.

Obviously targeted KPIs are needed :

- Increase average fine per shakedown from THB 150 to THB 300

Hey presto, same results in half the time ! Right, I am off down the snooker hall....

The best thing for them to do is stay home. Everyone is much safer then.

After three 'grueling' days of eating free food and drinking free Beer whilst dozing off frequently through boredom; they all went home and forgot everything that was said !

I feel sorry for the poor buggers who have to pump in the fresh oxygen everyday to make up for oxygen that these oxygen thieves have stolen while sitting in that room grueling away.
