Both guns were registered weapons and belonged to a Thai in uniform. Pol Gen Suwat Jangyodsuk, commissioner-general of the Royal Thai Police, will elaborate on the matter at the Provincial Police Region 8 headquarters in Phuket.

Wow, this will make for a thriller movie, Blockbuster.

So do the police routinely check the beaches looking for weapons and actually find them?

And what about the line "Both guns were registered weapons and belonged to a Thai in uniform".

Sure they mean ”SEMI”automatic but your average reader won’t know the difference. Seems the bib wanted to get rid of the competition only mistake is he didn’t get the guns back to properly dispose of them

It's so sad that people these days dont even respect uniform. Those were the days when someone borrow something always returns back not throw in SEA!!

I will ask all people in uniform to take 2 months deposit before they lend their arms for recreation.

I claim the rights  to such  suggestion !

It is probably considered unfortunate that this incident has become a subject of  media and  public  interest. But given that  covid-19 has become old hat for  media to push it comes as no surprise.

Yet really  why  the interest in the demise of a person who  by reputation was not anything less  than a voluntary participant of an existence that culminated  in elimination? Step up  next  ?

it appears from the article that police have already identified those involved including certain people that wear uniforms .................................integrety of Thai police comes under scrutiny again

what did the Thai police Chief say several weeks ago about his officers

Who are the real criminals in this country is a serious question that needs answered

This is why they need submarines.

So the weapons used to kill the guy both weapons belong to a big Thai police officer maybe the guy was interfering in police after our businesses and they didn’t like that I have to go to belong to the police I guess case is solved Tik

Plenty of uniforms in this country other than BIB.

And the murderers have already left the country... how convenient.

I'd like to be a fly on the wall at that meeting... I wonder if the press will be allowed in?

Oh dear...did they throw them in the ocean at high tide?

Just goes to show once more.

Any fool can commit a crime it's the getting away with it thats the hard part.

A Thai would know that disposing of  the guns in the sea at Rawai wouldn't be a good idea as they would (did) become visible when the tide goes out on the mud flats.

guns just needed to disappear for a couple of days, the time for leaving the country.

they had all this well planned in advance.

the cover-up story by the person "in uniform" will be interesting.

Yes it does seem a little convenient, to find them and belonging to a Thai in uniform, mind you that could mean half of the population.

The guns were registered to a Thai in uniform and yet Foreigners are suspects, seems very sus to me. How many are getting their 'slice' from Jimi's Murder ? ????

Usually if you want to buy a gun it will be someone in uniform who will offer to sell you one.

So Indian then.

Many years ago I was working in Saudi and chatting with an Indian colleague, he said it was well known in India that a lot of Indian 'underworld' figures hangout/live in Thailand.

Didn't the police keep saying that he was shot with a .38?

Perfect, the guns have been found, all they need to do now is check to see you they are registered to and bob’s your uncle you will find the killers???? Good luck with that, meanwhile back in Vancouver the revenge killings already taking place   Maybe the investigation should focus more on how these characters are able to travel so freely, like a deported Canadian travelling on a Canadian passport, what did his TM6 say for arrival and departure, these are supposed to control visitors to Thailand or not????

Isn't 38 and 9mm the same calibre?

Oil from the spills in Rayong has travelled a long way already.

Its at the high water mark in the Photo, and the people and their equipment are covered in the stuff.

"Both guns were registered weapons and belonged to a Thai in uniform. Pol Gen Suwat Jangyodsuk..."

Please note that there is a full stop after "uniform", not a comma.
