Sanook Thai Caption: This lot are not my friends!

Thailand was a notable absentee on a list of nations deemed unfriendly by Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Sanook published a picture of the man now being called a dictator with the caption: This lot are not my friends.

Despite joining a condemnation vote at the UN, Thailand and its leader Prayuth Chan-ocha has adopted a wait and see approach to its relationship with Russia.

Many see this as for economic reasons.

China and India was also not on the list issued via TASS yesterday, reported Daily News.

But in Asia Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea were included.

Among the countries deemed unfriendly towards Russia because of sanctions are the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and all 27 countries of the EU.

I'd love it if a country currently not on the list asked Putin to be added.

Phone call:

Prayut: "Vlad, old buddy I hate to tell you this but we can not condone your Russian compatriots lounging around in Phuket with no money"

Putin: "Well Cha Cha we can not help them as our money has been stolen by the communist regime of the west, how about if you loan us those submarines we will put in engines and bring our folks home after they torpedo some boats on their way back"

Prayut: "that actually sounds doable, but you realize we only bought mini subs now right?"

Putin "Thats it your on the list No soup for you One year"

Prayut: "Vlad you have been watching Jerry Seinfeld again haven't you"

Putin: "Yes, you know Kramer is my brother"

The list of friendly nations would be a list of dodgy countries.

This whole situation reminds me of the Magnificent 7 without the 7, outlaws trying to take over a town, maybe the 7 will eventually come

He's making a list, checking it twice.

Thailand- World leaders in sitting on the fence.

"Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Reuters Moscow would halt operations if Ukraine ceased fighting, amended its constitution to declare neutrality, and recognised Russia's annexation of Crimea and the independence of regions held by Russian-backed separatists."

Room for manoeuvre?

Room for manoeuvre?

Sounds like they want them to bend over, grab their butt cheeks and spread them wide in preparation for getting ass raped...

Being friendly is not the same as giving active aid and support, my guess is Russia now has to rely solely on its own resources. None of the "friendly" nations want to be caught up in the sanctions currently being applied.

Who wants to be friendly with a country whose currency is worth one quarter of a Thai baht?

Aw, what a little snowflake.

Declaration of neutrality is not such a stretch as it is unlikely they will become NATO members anytime soon.

The other requirements suggest putting it to a vote or something similar for the Ukranian people to try to stop the fighting.

The fact that these options are on the table probably means Russia realise that they made a bad decision.

A compromise or similar would be a better solution than even more deaths and potential escalation of the current crisis?

Compromise to have Russia just take over what they wanted in the first place it sounds like.  Doesn't this sound like the school yard bullies gang beating up on all of the other kids to get what they wanted and then arranges to stop when they are given what they wanted...No difference in my book.  War crimes and indiscriminate killing of civilians.

It doesn't particularly matter really though. If Putin starts lobbing nukes because people are not "friends", then whilst not a target Thailand will still suffer the global consequences. Even if there are not the climatic consequences some forecast, without Russian, European or North American markets to trade into, and take tourist revenue from, Thailand will be "Donald Ducked".

I don't think it will go that far (?) but I would certainly like to watch TAT spin their way out of it!

Is there a list of friendly planets ????

Far Faster to make List of Friendly Countries. About six, all nasty tyrannies or anti- west or dependent on Russian weapons/ minerals. Huge surprise is India who should know better….

  • Popular Post

Not so much a list of Russian "unfriendly" nations, more a list of countries that do not have despot leaders and whom do not condone killing innocent women and children.

  • Popular Post

The friendly mentioned countries have all just responded saying

No money no honey babe!!

I'm sure, Prayuth and Anutin will make it a big story, incl. pat on the shoulder, but that Thailand is not on the list, is not because it is regarded as Russia-friendly, but because it's, simply, unimportant to Russia and Putin.

They've never known better.

Better off under British rule, then and now.

If there is, Earth is not on that Putin list, I'm sure. ????

Biden already said what exactly Russia is doing now - "re-establishing the former Soviet Union". This is similar to, e.g., returning of the state of Texas back to the USA.

Of course, Putin could has acted much more gentle. He could, for example, return the rebellious region of Ukraine by adjudgment. But he prefer to act emphatically rude with gestures like this list of unfriendly countries. Because he wants to quarrel with the West. This will allow him to become a true Eastern leader.

Then wipe himself as worlds biggest fascist dictator…..

Putin seems to be the real Nazi in 2022. Annexing Crimea, invading Ukraine. Very similar to Sudetenland and Czechoslovakia  in 1938-1939.... Followed of course by a war with the free world.

Putin would need to consult with Elon Musk for that answer.
