Here come the anti mask wearing commentstors again. Get off your high horses and wear them as your asked.  Keep one in your pocket...  It's not fearmongering, it's reality.

  • Enough already. IMHO, it should be optional. If people want to wear them, knock themselves out. The world is moving on and this fear mongering needs to stop. Reality is there will always be a variant

Wise decision  I think.

Mask on, mask off, mask on again we better get use to it. Soon Australia will be mask on again as covid is spreading once more at a high rate. Maybe we should ask the Chinese what they put in their formula as it's never ending?

If you want to wear your mask forever, please feel free, but don't insist I do it. Your mask will protect you right? This obsession is now becoming a mental illness.

I just follow the rules,  want me to wear mask I wear mask!

I was bother when they said wear one during sex so I tried it. It was like Halloween made the event more exciting????

Then mask became cheap like online buying I got addicted I started to buy out of habit colors,  logos,  so many,  to make sure I had mask everywhere glove box,  steering wheel,  bike,  I wear one throw it away no garbage can I just toss it on the road hoping due to crushing economy some poor sole can use it.

One night I went out felt what I though was my fat wallet back pocket when they lifted the restrictions on night clubs. I went out to celebrate order drinks,  rang the bell,  celebrated like a drunker sailor when time to leave reach to my back pocket it was a backup bag of mask!

Not a good ending?????

These doctors should not be leading anything ... masks didn't solve covid.

Can we just get these geniuses in Bangkok to shut up!

Meanwhile, overheard while getting a haircut at my local salon was the hair stylist asking a regular customer, a 'leading doctor' at a prestigious hospital down Sukhumvit way, whether he should get his second booster shot. "Don't bother" was the reply. "They don't work. The hospital puts pressure on doctors to push these drugs onto patients". Such is the state of the medical establishment that many of us have had grown to trust.

Common sense and seeing cases rise says different, but you go on believing that covid is done.  If people wore masks, for their own reasons during the flu season etc...might we see a decline as well in cases, just like the past 2 years because of mask wearing. No the flu did not dissappear and neither will Covid.

So humans should now wear masks until the end of time?

  • Popular Post

Yes, wearing masks again should be mandatory again.

Number of cases are high rising in Europe and won't stop at Thai borders.????

The letters in MASK can be rearranged to spell SKAM.

The entire world is over this.

But not LOS.

Maybe in your world.

It would be “sensible” for hospitals to reintroduce mandatory mask-wearing, the chair of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation has said, as several trusts in England and Wales announced the move.

You might pay a hefty fine one day .......stay in Hospital.....or long Covid.......or die even.

Is this worth?????

I don’t wear my Obedience Face Diaper anymore. And love seeing others not wearing theirs also.  I’m fully vaccinated, double boosted, had Covid and it was like a bad cold. (Two positive tests)

No more O.F.D. for me.  I’m finished with those things.

Gotta love folks like you who make it so much easier to laugh at your type of post. It's not a face diaper, it's a mask.  But if you think it's a diaper then Mammy Pokos to you my friend.

Saw a westerner speeding along the other day on his scooter - mask on helmet off..got his priorities right..moron.

I'd say almost impossible is the statistical reality of catching covid on a scooter...but all the lemmings still wearing them in that scenario after the mandate was removed....only reason I wore it prior to then in that scenario was to avoid a penalty perhaps at helmet/license checkpoints.

People who are not medical experts decrying masks are looking at their own selfish desires. Not unusual I suppose.

Last night I had dinner with two friends, one of whom asked in advance if I could wear a mask and arrange a table outside the restaurant in the garden. He explained that his young son has a heart defect and catching Covid could be fatal. Of course I agreed and took an ATK test in the morning to lower the concern of the father.

The point is, we don’t do these things for ourselves and our “freedumb” but for others who might catch it from us and die. Try thinking of others not yourselves.

Why not if one wants to. I am not telling you to wear a mask. It is your choice, but folks being derogatory regarding a mask are laughable.

Wearing the mask for air issues is the better answer for you. So the rider doesn't suck down the noxious car fumes. It is why I am finally moving out of Bangkok...

Their country their rules, if you do not like the rules you have options.

If obsession is a mental illness, it is in foreigners that travel abroad and expect to get things done the way they want.

Yes. I might also get run over by a car or get struck by lightling. We all die sometime. I would rather live life than spend every waking moment worrying about something which I have a more than 99% chance of NOT dying from.

Since the mask mandate has ended, I've hardly ever seen any Thais unmasked in public anyway (in Bangkok, might be different elsewhere).

Foreign tourists are a different story, but they didn't seem to care even before.

So, what difference would this really make?

To heck with it I think I'll go play golf and then have a drink, or two.

The brainwashed that want to continue to wear masks are free to do so

what a pathetic comment.

No mandate is needed as there is almost zero serious risk to health. Sure, there are rising cases, but the consequences are very, very different to what we saw in the past. You cannot compare the situation in July 2020 with July 2022.

If people want to wear a mask, fine. If they don't and want to risk the microscopic chance of catching a mild form of Covid, also fine. Personal choice, which does not and should not be dictated by the government.

You have to wonder where exactly these halfwits bought their "medical degrees". The bug does not transfer in the outside air. These are no doubt the same idiots who had Thailand disinfecting beaches, forests, streams and roads.

As far as I am concerned some maskless fool coughing and sneezing on me poses a risk. It certainly does transfer in the air and you appear very lacking in knowledge. Best you do not make such comments.

Then do so. It's down to personal choice

The mask mandate ended only to try attract foreign tourists back here. It's only the main tourist areas that you also see Thais without masks, tbh.

Thais are still getting their info and news from masked newsreaders, masked cartoon characters on Line app, Mor Phrom, etc.

In the workplace, a lot of factory workers, contractors, etc still have to ATK-check every 3 days. If they come up positive, they will have to isolate (and lose money) for 10 days, pending negative results. So it's also the fear of losing earnings..

Mandated or not, the mask-wearing will be here in Thailand for a long time.

Nor with 2 vaccinations and 3 or 4 boosters.

Since I can't depend on those a mask may be the only option left....
