I guess you haven’t even bothered to read the article. According to them, he didn’t smoke at all. Only taking coffee and water. Apparently earlier reports stated that he had a cannabis infused tea, but that was corrected by staff at the cafe. No smoking at all. But people like yourself love your ‘knee jerk’ reactions because it saves you from thinking. Easier to just react. Bravo!

You guess wrong.

I simply stated the cappuccino was unlikely the cause......must be second hand smoke then.

It appears you do too,  frequent smokers usually have lost a grip on reality. ..... cannabis consumption is also tied to smoking, You will be claiming that has health benefits next!

PS How do  you know what I understand?

How do I know? Because you copy and paste instead of explaining it for yourself ????

No copy and paste in that post!

What you stated was that ‘pot’ was definitely the cause.

I did? ... Care to  quote that? You should learn to read through the mist.

Why all this pointless babbling? Cappuccino is in the article and they are claiming that he didn’t smoke nor take anything else. Do you know something that we don’t?

So you can't quote...OK.  You admit to being disingenuous then?

If a clown states that ‘potheads’ are suggesting that it might be the ‘cappuccino’ when they did nothing of the sort and then produces a link to suggest that cannabis is linked with heart problems without noting that they are referring to SMOKING, one might note a possible bias in it’s argument.

Most of the scientific studies linking marijuana to heart attacks and strokes are based on reports from people who smoked marijuana (as opposed to other methods of using it)”

Try reading your own article.

They specifically stated that he didn’t smoke at all in regular visits to the cafe. But you didn’t bother to read the article at all, did you?

Prior to the fatal heart attack he was approached by a naked Austrian who demanded that he hand over his clothes and the key to his motorcycle.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Have a little read up about caffeine intake and possible heart problems before commenting.

We used to have a 2 hour gym/aerobics class at Tony's (in the early days when the place was great).

After we'd go for coffee across the road but the instructor (ex Hawaii Ironman participant and great instructor) would never drink coffee as he said he'd seen people die consuming coffee after a gym session.

How many more deaths or mental breakdown episodes are required before this evil drug is banned again.

You need to do some research on this topic before making statements like that.

The truth is that none of us know the truth. Not even the reporters know the truth.

But it seems he was a regular at the cafe, though not a smoker.

So he wasn't even a smoker!

What are we going to do next to please the naysayers, ban cappuccino?

RIP Mr. Hamad Alblaiher.  Surely it cannot be that just the excitement of being in Pattaya's Walking Street at 03:46 induced a heart attack?

Obviously a night creature who had difficulty sleeping and no doubt an underlying health condition but that doesn't fit the narrative of the anti weed brigade, even though the guy didn't smoke!

So you cannot find the quote (because I did not say such) and now you infer it.!

Apparently this regular patron always ordered marijuana tea according to another source (I am not permitted to quote)... while here (in happy land) people now think he came straight from the gym at 03:40.

RIP

A bit young, but all things considered, sitting in a weed shop, presumably spliff in hand, sipping on a cappuccino, on the street with the most prostitutes in the whorehouse capital of Asia...

Not bad way to check out when your time is up.

According to other news outlets he was drinking ganga tea; not a cappuccino.

Staff at the shop told police that Alblaiher was a regular patron who always ordered marijuana tea and a glass of water. They said he never smoked marijuana at the shop.

Walking Street not a great place to be yesterday. This death, and a woman found convulsing and taken to hospital.

https://aseannow.com/topic/1302142-alleged-bar-guards-dump-unconscious-woman-on-walking-street/

As for the many and predicable anti-cannabis comments based on no fact at all, He never smoked marijuana there, the staff said, adding he suddenly complained he could not breathe before collapsing to the floor, shocking other customers.

It's important to keep these issues of mental breakdowns and heart attacks quite separate, or risk aversion will become the new culture of Thailand wherever Farang are found.

The user you are replying to was making a generalisation about the risks that cannabis poses to the public.  He wasn't suggesting that the death in question was linked to a mental breakdown.  Therefore it's fine for them to mention something that was not present in the article above.

There is no reason to keep mental breakdowns and heart attacks separate when discussing the general risk involved with cannabis use.

Why? Ganja doesnt cause heart attacks

With respect, for reference (Google)

(THC is the part of the marijuana plant that creates a high.) Other research has shown smoking weed has triggered heart attacks and leads to a higher risk of strokes and heart failure in people with underlying heart disease.Feb 24, 2023

i blame the cannabis.

I blame wandering around at 3 am...probably poor diet, poor health, and it caught up to him as most probable cause...if he had stayed home smoking a doobie and listening to pink floyd he would probably have lived to see another day.

Upon their arrival, the rescue team found a foreign man, Mr. Hamad Alblaiher, 52, of unknown nationality

Was he an English citizen?
The name sounds like English, from London.
