So what's the plan?

Will the server get an overhaul? It really is very slow.

Will there be a rebranding? ThaiVisa was generally well-regarded while I think the rebranding to ASEANNow didn't work out so well and has been fraught with technical issues.

What about moderation? Will this be a place where jokers are encouraged? Will the moderation be heavy-handed? Will it be a place for freedom of speech?

Or will it just be more of the same....?

Congratulations, the hard work paid off.

How would you know...I saw somewhere that around 3 mil baht changed hands. One can't be sure as this is not a public company to publish accounts.

Maybe they can address the annoying pop up ads covering up the pages on mobile display. It’s so annoying that I stopped coming to the pages and only read the summary page. I’m pretty sure Cigna and all the health insurance ads are going to remain as irrelevant as they were.

I was first to reply! 😉🤭🙄

Good, and you've achieved the impossible, a post which hasn't attracted the 'confused' emoji.

Good luck to all concerned.

Are the mods changing?

Someone didn't read the earlier post, it says clearly the mods stay.

Does this mean the radical Marxists who post here will finally be held accountable?

I was a forum moderator until recently, I was aware of some of what has happened and how hard senior forum staff had been working to make it happen.

i do not predict this sale will be a good thing for Asean now or for its members.. As Asean now always took their posts from other news services, now with Thaiger as the owner I think the only news we will actually see will be the same we can see in the Thaiger online. So why have this app?

The only good that came out of this sale is for the owners of Asean now. Perhaps now is a good time to start up website free from Thaigers influence. Utilizing many sources to get us our information. Who can say that Thaiger is unbiased in their approach to giving news to its followers? I can not count the number or ads i have seen in Thaiger shown as a news report when it should have been in their advertising section to promote Thailand. Tis a sad day for Asean Now.

Great stuff, Thesetat. I am delighted that so many of our contributors are 'media savvy' and can discern the forces running behind editorial shenanigans.
