I recently binge watched 8 seasons of Inspector George Gently (played by Martin Shaw), which is a British crime drama set in the north east of England. Very good IMHO. Worth a look.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1430509/

I took a look but it wasn’t to my liking, also tried Hinterland but gave up after 1 season.

Now on DCI Banks, which I am enjoying, maybe because it is filmed in my old stomping ground and have seen some places I recognise already ????

I liked George Gently, as I was born in NE England and lived there for 50+ years. I recognised and have been to most of the places featured on the show.

I've already downloaded DCI Banks. It's on my soon-to-watch list.

Binge watched The Devil Next Door (Story of the Prosecution of John "Ivan" Demjanjuk for his role in the Polish concentration camps during WWII.  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11165002/

I couldn't stop watching it, though had to turn away at times as some of the pictures they showed were really harrowing.

Just started watching the last episode of Grantchester, about a country vicar who helps a copper Robson Green solve crimes ,just switched off  its just gone so " woke" its the 1950s in the country, now its got a black trainee vicar , an ex gay vicar in prison and  just now a black maid opens the door to a country house and the rich white guy there is married to a black woman ,just changing history ,why do they do it?

They are rewriting history trying to convince us that the UK has always been very multi cultural. Head of Police is often black or Asian and even the commander of nuclear subs! It's tolerable in the present, but anything historical is incredibly annoying as they are not only misrepresenting the past but certain races are almost debarred from being cast in negative roles- when was the last time you saw a black actor cast as a rapist, murderer or terrorist?

Killer at the Crime Scene.

Follow detectives and forensics on major murder cases in the UK.

I'm half way through series one and every episode has been good so far.

Always helps to know where it's available.

Murder at the Crime Scene.

Couldn't find a torrent for this one.

I streamed it from their website using a vpn.

A pain in the <deleted> really as there's tons of ads as well.

Episode 1 was quite good.

Think I'll wait until it's available elsewhere.

I wish people would get in the habit of saying where it's either available to stream or torrent download, especially with some of the more obscure programs.

I have, even my bank websites and UK shop sites only seem to portray their black and mixed race customers!

I'm not sure if anyone knows this sitcom,  I use to watch it every afternoon along with Get Smart and F Troop and Batman.

They were the best .....

I remember it well.

they were the best shows, I'd race home from school just to watch Mr ED and the others.  A talking horse, and didn't he come up with some good lines.  Americans are the best when it comes to sitcoms like that.

Really enjoyed Paris, je t'aime. An offbeat collection of over 20 short films, woven into one somewhat interconnected story, many of which were directed by top talent like the Coen brothers, Payne, Cuaron, Craven, Salles, Craven, etc. Some shorts missed the mark, some were very good, all were a tribute to Paris. Alot of fun to watch, and some of the stories stayed with me. In French with subs.

Good film, about a fascinating man. Just read Kitchen Confidential. Excellent book about behind the scenes gossip on restaurants. Fun read.

Nothing very exiting just a nice movie, with Donald Sutherland and Mick Jagger ( I thought he was taller)

The Burnt Orange Heresy (2019)

Hired to steal a rare painting from one of the most enigmatic painters of all time, an ambitious art dealer becomes consumed by his own greed and insecurity as the operation spins out of control.

I liked it

Jagger stole that movie. I could not keep my eyes off of him, the entire time he was on screen. Considering how iconic a character he is, it is surprising he has not done more movies. Guess he keeps pretty busy with the Stones, as he is still touring at his ripe old age! Sutherland was good too, as usual. Not a great film. But worth a watch, if you are bored.

Saw The last duel.

Despite being slightly woke and PC, I give it 8 out of 10, which is higher than most movies I see.

I didn't even recognise Mat Damon, or Ben Affleck till I saw the credits.

Can't say that I'd like to live back then.

Well done to Ridley Scott for not making another Robin Hood fiasco.

Rocco (2016)

1 hour 45 mins.

Netflix.

Don't know how I missed this one. Documentary about making his final porno movie.

Plenty of 'you know what' if you know what I mean, eh? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. ????

Amazing that he is married, with a family. What a life. Quite a legend in the biz.

The Abduction of Leslie Whittle

RARBG

Summary: Lesley Whittle was just 17 when she was snatched by Donald Neilson – the man known as the Black Panther. He was a builder turned career criminal, responsible for four murders and more than 400 burglaries. Lesley, the heir to one of the country’s biggest private coach companies was the fourth murder victim.

Where he kept her at Bath Pool, Kidsgrove, bout 5 miles from my home in UK, remember this incident very well.

The Thin Blue Line AKA Tunna blå linjen

Watching this one on SBS On Demand.

It's really good.

Not sure if it's available for download anywhere.

Summary: An intimate portrayal of the daily life of four police officers, where the line between private and professional life blurs out as tensions heighten in the animated and crime-ridden city of Malmö, Sweden.

Couldn't find a clip with subs, sorry.

This one is now available on TPB with hard coded subs.
