Panic mode was a month ago

no more beds, no more testing, lockdown the workers!

are they welding the doors like in China?

Maybe, who knows what's going on in a general's mind?

This must be reiterated: A @oc_ccsa sub committee called for a week-long lockdown in and around Bangkok, PM Prayut insisted to consider “economic effects” too - and then goes ahead targeting only restaurants and construction camps, while most others remain more or less open.

#ล็อกดาวน์กรุงเทพ (“Lockdown Bangkok”) is now trending for obvious reasons… …only it isn’t really a lockdown, it only targets restaurants and labor camps… …and an actual lockdown back in April at the start of this wave didn’t happen either… …so there we have it. #COVID19

In England that have just started setting up “pop up” centers in football stadiums, shopping malls etc.

the thing is that the public needs to have a certain mind set that testing is good. It tells you about your health. Do it weekly, stay informed about your body. Take isolation measures if positive. Then people WANT to be tested.

in Thailand you have the opposite. Testing costs money, testing positive means you are punished.

leadership is required to get the nation pulling together because everybody is in the same boat. Consistent messaging re: Covid prevention behavior, testing, isolating if positive, vaccination. Over and over.

nonsense about tourists coming, opening in 120 days etc, just promotes the wrong message that everything is ok and that the nation is not in a fight against a virus that can wreak havoc if not checked.

Anyone can also pick up at a pharmacy 2 x 7 packs of rapid lateral flow test kits free of charge to enable a test every 3/4 days for those not having any symptoms but could still be passing it on.

Pity Thailand didn’t move some of the TAT budget from tv ads to test kit provision. It would help tourism a lot more in the long run.

This is what happens when you have cowards in power. They weren’t brave enough to make the decision before Songkran.

They had that partial lockdown that didn’t do anything for the last two months except <deleted> restaurants.

Now we have this incompetent mess.

They are not Cowards; they are incompetant Gangsters only interested in what they and their Hi So friends and Families want and what they wanted is freedom of movement to do whatever they want (see Ministers going to 'Clubs' etc).  The rest of the Population and people like ourselves are of no interest to any of them and we are all expendable !

This is quite a come down.  The lowest doses administered in a single day.

So where are the millions of locally produced AZ vaccines?

We've received little news in the past from Siam Bioscience and I doubt we'll receive any now re supply of AZ.

Perhaps they are being secretly distributed to the elderly and vulnerable in the Northeastern provinces.

Indeed. So not being part of Covax it looks like Thailand has been reduced to begging and scrounging handouts from their CP masters or anyone else that wants to unload unwanted vaccines....

BP saying 2 fully vacced (SinoVac)people in Korat test postive to Delta variant. This is known as vaccine breakthrough.

BUT  does  that mean they will  get seriously  ill and die or  that the vaccine WILL  stop it  going to that stage?

I have learned not to believe such reports until they become the medical consensus. We get lots of conflicting claims about Covid in the media.

The media report (ABC news on youtube) stated that a close contact between someone and an infected person was no longer than 10 seconds. If I recall, this info was given by the premier of NSW. They reported that this incidence was caught on cctv, and this is how the person got infected. This was the delta variant. It's well known that the delta variant is very transmissible.

Still stuck in Blackpool and yesterday they had a pop up vaccine van in the town, sit down , give details and get injection within 15 minutes.

Seems to me people would rather take the vaccine than take a test due to potential financial knock on effects

Is that a pic of people in queue for testing?

I drive past gas stations if there is a queue of 2 cars.

I wouldn't get in that line even if it was for a jab.

That's Dodger Stadiums parking lot.  Testing and vaccine administration in one place.

What happened to the Walmart for walk in jabs etc

Oz friends tell me it's a walk in the park. Drop into vaccine centre. No appointment. Show your Medicare card or other id if you don't have one.

Few questions about your health. Jab.

That's it.

Oh they still have those, but downtown LA is not where you find CVS or Walmarts, those are on the outskirts of the city in towns like Pasadena, Glendale, Artesia, long Beach and so on.  Most of those in line probably work in the skyscrapers.

Of course it has. We have known all along that Sinovac is the totally useless cheap Charlie solution out of all of the vaccines.

Delta Variant Outbreak in Israel Infects Some Vaccinated Adults
Updated June 25, 2021 11:39 am ET

TEL AVIV—About half of adults infected in an outbreak of the Delta variant of Covid-19 in Israel were fully inoculated with the Pfizer Inc. vaccine, prompting the government to reimpose an indoor mask requirement and other measures to contain the highly transmissible strain.
