Udon Thani, Thailand-  The Udon Thani police raided and searched the home of a Swiss national today who admitted to killing what he called an armed intruder to his home on October 3rd.

 

The raid followed the mother of the slain man claiming there was more to the story than the Swiss national was stating and claimed that almost 300,000 baht her son had on him from a recent land sale had gone missing following the incident.

Today’s raid was led by Pol. Lt. Col. Noppadon Wisetsri, the Deputy Superintendent of the Nakha Police Station in Udon Thani. The raid was given the green light by the Udon Thani Provincial Court, which issued a search warrant with the order number of 142/2564.

 

Police raided the home of 63-year-old  Rudolf Joseph Rothy, a Swiss national, around 2:00 P.M. in Ban Khamin, part of the Kudsa sub-district in Mueang Udon Thani. Mr. Rudolf and his wife were not home during the raid and so police had the village headsman, identified as Mr. Buasen Sriyangkabutr, and a prominent local monk, Phra Lek Sareerup, 65, accompany them for the raid for transparency reasons. The reason for the raid, according to Udon Thani police, were claims by the mother of the victim, Khan Chantarakhantri, that her son had nearly 300,000 baht from a recent land sale go missing during the confrontation with Rudolf.

And this photo depicts what? A reanacment of an imagined event? Totally bonkers the lot of them.

It all makes sense now. The armed intruder climbed over the fence to force the Swiss guy at gunpoint to take the 300,000 baht cash he had brought, so that's why he shouted 'Money! Money!'

 

The Swiss guy had enough money himself so he refused. They scuffled, fought over the gun, it went off, and he threw it into the pond.

 

He tied him up, woke his wife, and then she came and found the money.

 

Of course it is long gone now, as we all know with every Thai wife and money, there is never any change.

Who cares what dead man's mother claims he may or may not have had cash wise? That he previously "had" 300k baht does not mean  a thing in this story. This story is centered around an armed intrusion into another mans home period.

 

Bottom line any intruder found with a gun in my house at night will be found there in the morning (albeit motionless)

 

Side Show: This Thai man was supposedly having an affair with the Swiss mans wife....Now he shows up after midnight with a gun in the Swiss mans house? Guess what the plan actually was at that point?

 

Now dead Thai man's mother makes a claim the dead man had 300k baht & what?? Udon Police visit Swiss man why? They think maybe he set it all up? Had Thai man appear at his home with gun & 300k so Swiss could rob him? Amazing Thailand

Claim from the 'slain' family seem to get more ridiculous daily, up tomorrow swiss man must be hiding the 200 luxury cars he was looking after for him

I would be a bit more cynical than that - does the story not make mention of M-O-N-E-Y. Obviously the family will be expecting the Swiss guy to "give back" the 300,000.

 

I am watching this unfold with serious concern. There is no doubt in my mind who is lying and I am concerned the story is being taken seriously.

Nah, how can you say that? If somebody breaks into my house and point a gun at me, and I managed to eliminate the threat. Then I would say that the right man died. ????

If the Swiss guy wasn’t there in the first place, then this would have never happened so its his fault.

Sad that the wife was complicit in the plan and pretending to be asleep during the commotion. How many other fake marriages have the wife seeing secret thai boyfriends

lets say the police search the property and find 500kbaht in the mans safe 

 

this story gets more bizzar by the day and the cops should be ashamed of themselves 

News Flash....   The  family of the fence climbing romeo have " just remembered"   that     the deceased was also wearing a  5 baht necklace, and  had a genuine Rolex Oyster  on his  wrist as well.

He didn't tell the mother  he had already spent the 300k hence why he intruded a man's house.

So he was carrying 300K? How was he carrying it paperbag or in his pocket? Why would he be taking it to his lovers house? Their are so many holes in this story from both sides.

Agreed, problem rightfully dealt with. 

Everybody knows, if you enter a private property carrying a gun with bad intentions.... you deserve to take "the room temperature challenge."

I checked my Netflix account logs, if the GF does have a secret 'other' he's sitting around while she watches Chinese dramas on Netflix...that's punishment enough !

Why all this confusion ?

The family of the deceased wants to make some profit out of that situation .

They think thai style that the ' farang ' is rich anyway , that he killed that guy who possibly committed adultery , and climbed over his wall at night , armed with a gun , and now he needs to pay for this .

No matter if it was his fault , or he was the one that was attacked first ... he is the one with the money , so he needs to pay .

Because all they want is his money . Nothing else ...

Btw , if they had one ( or more ) guardian dogs , nothing like this would have happened ...

Go to your bank, withdraw 100,000bt, fold it and put in your pocket.

 

Makes quite a buldge, now multiply times 3.

 

Can you really believe a person carries around 300 X 100,000bt (+/-) notes, climbs a wall,  breaks into someone's house in the middle of the night and threatened the home owner with a gun?

 

This story gets better each day. Movie time!!!

What if wifey lifted the 3ook after a little bit of secret nooky and lover boy comes to the house demanding "money money" back from Swiss hubby who did not know about it and takes exception to having a gun in his face and is the survivor in a situation that could have gone the other way?

I guess I will wait for the directors  cut!

The Swiss guy need a farang attorney. Pronto.

It helps their small brains to understand a bit

Hence everything is made up in their imagination. Just folk stories.

My (albeit brief) experience with Thai police investigation scenes is that if something goes missing, it was most likely the Plod that nicked it.  In August, an unfortunate resident of my condo building passed in his sleep. When he was discovered four days later, the BiB were called and insisted that the building management stay outside while they "searched" his room. Family later reported cash and Rolex watches missing. When the rescue foundation arrived to remove his mortal remains, they nicked all the grog.
