BANGKOK, Oct 14 (TNA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul was scheduled to visit four southern border provinces to discuss efforts to contain fast COVID-19 outbreaks in the region.

 

Natchanon Srikorkuea, deputy spokesman of Mr Anutin’s Bhumjaithai Party, said Mr. Anutin would visit Songkhla, Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat provinces on Oct 14-15 to discuss solutions, lay down policies and inspect COVID-19 outbreaks.

 

He will also go to vaccination centers and met local administrators, health volunteers and people.

Can he go a little further south, you know where I mean, and have him in the lead vehicle.

not exactly his electorate power base, but shifting all vax from the north (definitely not his base) might bring him some votes stolen from democrats and the PPP.

That would be tough election. An early start is crucial.

That before promphan&suthep gets organising their mafia finanse and before their competing mafia from Mr Flower with his bananas. 

Headline in two weeks:  Covid cases skyrocket in 4 southern border provinces, Anutin blames migrants.

If the good folks in the deep south [or anywhere] haven't figured out the best manner in which to stem the tide of spread by now - they'll never get it. 

 

Rest assured that Anutin, and his team, don't have a clue as to passing on sound advice and already proven sound measures. 

Just an extension of the political show. Nothing else.

His visit will lower the IQ of the region significantly!!

Another waste of time just to get the photo op.

I’m not much use at crosswords, just thought you would all like to know.

Such a relief! I feel safer already.

It could be a good thing - maybe one well-placed IED would solve many of Thailand's current COVID problems........

Well Anutin had better hurry up. The 7 Day Moving Average has been on the rise since mid-June. In the North East Region, they brought theirs down in two months quite dramatically. And of course the Central Region was also brought down being the elite & financial hub of Thailand. They have done nothing to date in the South. The following graphs are from CCSA figures.

Don't know if you can read them. In the first graph, Thailand Total in red & Central Region in blue. In the 2nd graph, the South in Red, East in orange, North East in yellow, West in green, North in grey & Prisons in pink. The bars are Thailand's 7 day Moving Average of Deaths. Everything except for the South is going down.

Anutin better pull his magic wand out of somewhere, as it keeps getting worse in the South.

Not a good example Canute wanted to prove to his adoring followers he was not a god and prove it by not being able to stop the tide coming in, Anutin is trying to prove he is a God!
