Yes, they do

Have they deployed an on line form to the visa to a new passport (change the passport details on the e-visa)?

On the LTR e-visa, it clearly says "multiple entry" and apparently that is all that is needed.

Of course, it also says "multiple entry" on the rubber stamp visa issued at the One Stop Center, and yet Immigration somehow still finds it necessary to fill up two pages of the passport with additional stamps...!

Can someone help with this? I gave a 12 month travel insurance with unlimited. Does it mean i need to get 5 year insurance? im confused by the entire course of stay.. ill be in and out every few months.. so i need a 5 year or 10 year insurance? Are there any links for a cheap one?

Since the insurance is Travel insurance for a single trip, please provide Health insurance with policy covering entire course of stay in Thailand, with coverage for hospitalization treatment of no less than 50,000 USD and the remaining period of no less than 10 months (please show the duration of the policy on the certification you will provide) OR evidence showing valid social security benefits which insures hospitalization and treatment in Thailand OR financial evidence showing a deposit of no less than 100,000 USD in a bank account which has been held for no less than 12 months at the time of application

Just need a 1 year policy which is for 50k USD starting either just prior to your arrival or on your arrival date and good for a minimum of 10 months if it has already started.

Are you already approved for LTR now in principle?  Otherwise best just to wait with health insurance to avoid potentially wasting your money because who knows if you will actually get approved.

I applied on the 31st October and today i was approved based on insurance.

I have a certificate of insurance covering a 1 year trip overseas with following conditions.

Overseas Travel Policy: This certificate is to confirm you have activated cover under the Group Policy as the cardholder of an eligible credit card.

Upgrades: The Existing Medical Condition cover only applies to the travel dates listed on this Certificate of Insurance. For future trips, you will need to activate your insurance for each trip and reapply for Existing Medical Condition cover. This certificate is a receipt for monies received by Cover‐More Insurance Services Pty Ltd ABN 95 003 114 145, AFSL 241713 (Cover‐More) on behalf of the insurer. Cover‐More acts as an agent of the insurer. The premium paid includes Stamp Duty and GST where applicable. All amounts are in Australian dollars.

image.png.be24e87f10adfd0410b29707128d17ed.png

Should this be eligible? The only thing i can see which is why they are denying it is that im not covered when im not there...

I don't know if that policy would be eligible, but another poster on this thread, I think it may have been @JimGant suggested purchasing an LMG insurance policy as an affordable option.  It looks like LMG has a policy called "Long Stay VISA Plus Premium Plan " where you can keep the premium low by choosing a high deductible.  By the policy name my guess is that it's intended to meet the requirements for people applying for Thai visas such as Non OA and LTR. If you need a policy, suggest giving LMG a call and asking about it.

All I did get approved after a nice chat with the lady.

Essentially I have 12 months cover every time i depart Australia which has sufficed.

You can add me to the list:

Dear Mr. LEXTSY,
Since we have checked your health insurance policy, now your application is approved.
However, your health insurance will be active on 01/01/2023. Your application will be able to reach the pre-approve step once your health insurance is active. Thus, you will see the update on your LTR Visa application's process again after 01/01/2023.

Date of Application: 3rd Nov

Date of Approval: Wed 21st Dec (But will be done in system from 1st January)

More for OA and/or OK as they offer a 100k policy, while only 50k are required for LTR. Not sure it would make much of a difference once the higher deductibles would get factored in.

They don't seem to have a policy specifically for LTR, just "long term visa", however as you note the deductibles can be quite high, making the premium pretty low. So just another option for anyone who may need it.

After LTR approval there should be an email coming that asks you to select online where you want to receive the visa, either in Bangkok or an overseas Royal Thai Embassy.

This is what they sent me early October, process may have changed now.

2. CHOOSE THE LOCATION FOR LTR VISA ISSUANCE

Please update the information about the place you would like to collect the visa from [Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate-General or One Stop Service for Visa and Work Permit Center (OSS), 18th floor, Chamchuri Square Building, Bangkok.]

For visa issuance at One Stop Service for Visa and Work Permit Center (OSS), please update the information of your latest arrival in Thailand (for the immigration purpose).

Excellent information thank you.

If I select it in Bangkok we have 30 days to collect? Did you notice a time limit?

I notice its $3000AUD or 70k baht in sydney, and only 50k baht in thailand but my trip maybe 40 days away when its issued.

I would.  I called this morning and confirmed mine.  Then downloaded the two forms and completed them.  I just returned from having my photos taken.  Everything is copied and ready for my appointment tomorrow.  I will report back then.  I know someone was going to pop in today, maybe they will report back.

Here are links to the two needed forms.

https://ltr.boi.go.th/documents/TM94_Form_Immigration.pdf

https://ltr.boi.go.th/documents/STM8_Immigration.pdf

This links don't work....at least now....at least for me.

Do you (or anyone who has been approved) have new links or blank TM94 and STM8 forms you could upload?

Thanks.

The links still work, might be your browser or your VPN, either way here are the files. You will need to save them to a folder and then open them after saving.  For some reason I can not load them as a screen shot for use as a printed application.

STM8_Immigration.pdf 104.96 kB · 5 downloads TM94.pdf 86.55 kB · 2 downloads

Thanks.  Yes, the links are "now" working for me....but earlier they were not....with or without a VPN connection.  Earlier the links would not work whether using Chrome (even tried Chrome in Incognito mode) or using Edge.

Still wondering why Immigration (not BOI) require that. My first reaction, early October, was that I was an exception with my Thai Wife extensions. But now them seem to make it a rule. So, any ideas?
