Given the fragile state of the minds of so many of 45's supports---they did buy into his Big Lie and storm the Capitol intent on hanging the VP because he was following his oath---people in public positions who still maintain an Entry Visa to Reality would be well-advised to stop bad mouthing the FBI for doing its job.

 

The first lunatic who fell prey to the We are Victim refrain tried to storm an FBI field office. That perp apparently was in DC during the insurrection. Law enforcement did the needful and put him down, but he won't be the last.

 

Of course the fever swamp of 45 is already tossing out the usual excuses or conspiracy theories, like 'false flag'.

 

It never ends. Well, I guess that cult member, now former cult member, will get his mar-a-gulago in the sky and I believe 72 buckets of KFC.

 

Is my comment cold? That perp will be missed as much as Ayman al-Zawahiri. He is owed zero compassion.

 

One would hope senior members of the repub party would self-reflect and shut the eff up. Similarly the fever swamp MSM like Fox should do the same. They won't, of course, because going along with the grift is profitable or gets them votes, the public good be damned.

Using the term "Cult" to describe 45's base was once shunned because it seemed impolite. Over time, and as that base displayed every trait of the typical cult (the 100% belief system, treating any criticism as blasphemy, portraying their messiah unrealistically both physically and morally, the one-speak nature of their terminology, the paraphernalia that has become an industry in itself), the term has become accepted because it fits like a glove.

 

As for this flaming only going 'one way', that is laughable. Those who haven't drank the Soma are labelled 'antifa', '<deleted>', 'commies'.

 

 

 

As for standards of debate, debates are some combination of fact and opinion. the Cult is built upon lies (aka Alternative Facts), so the 'facts' part of debate is forever missing.

 

Goal-seeking 'research' is not anything except confirmation bias. Despite claims by guys like rudy that 'truth isn't truth', there is an objective reality that cannot be changed just because a self-serving charlatan with a painful level of insecurity tries to manufacture alternate reality.

 

1) 45 lost in 2020; Biden won

2) Under his Admin, it wasn't even close to 'best economy ever'

3) Even his son admitted classified docs are at MaL, and this is....what's the word.....ILLEGAL

4) When faced with illegality, both DoJ and FBI have a job to do

5) 45 tried to foment an insurrection against the democratically elected govt of the US

6) 45 sat and watch the 6 Jan insurrection for 187 minutes doing NOTHING

The QAnon drivel was started by a guy claiming to have a "Q Clearance", which was portrayed as a super duper top top top only the select few with access to everything everywhere clearance.

 

What a Q Clearance actually is is a clearance that gives one access to nuke related intel. It's not a big deal, but someone who works the North Korea or Iran target, or who needs to visit Los Alamos or Oak Ridge, might need to add that to his TS/SCI

I know this has been in the public domain for years, so there is nothing classified....

 

Friend and foe alike took full advantage of the extremely poor security practiced by 45 when he was in office. Everyone from Russia to China to Iran to North Korea to Israel set up the means to eavesdrop on 45's phone calls from the White House, where he often used his personal, non-secure phone. Many foreign intel services didn't even need to recruit assets in his Admin, as just monitoring his phone gave them everything they needed.

 

He has a long history of being loose with matters of natsec, and has this infantile need to show off and tell folks things they don't need to know all in the hope of impressing people. I would guess that awareness of his behavior played some role in the judge signing off on the search warrant.

IF this is true, it is a really BFD.  There is no legitimate reason and no excuse for highly classified nuclear information to be at Mar-a-Lago.

Part way through the LINKED article is the full statement made Thursday by AG Garland. It is astonishing in its simplicity and impact.

 

He speaks of rule of law and even 'innocent until proven guilty', which is in stark contrast to "Lock her up". He details the search warrant process and even notes that 45's counsel was present at the search.

 

His statement would make any true US patriot proud.

 

AG Garland was misjudged. I was guilty of misjudging him, mistaking true professionalism for weakness. Garland has more spine than the entire repub party and 45-world combined.

Utterly false. There was a kerfuffle back then about groups using  "tea party"  or slogans related to it in their names being discriminated against by the IRS. Firstly 'sensitive material' isn't just 'left around at the White House'. It's kept at the National Archives building in Washington  https://www.archives.gov/publications/general-info-leaflets/1-about-archives.html

Secondly, there is actually no 'bigger concern' than an ex-President who has publicly courted despots and dicatators; who has denied a fair and free election and who instigated the Jan 6th insurection. 

I think I know where i'd rather the information be held.

AG Merrick Garland faced a cacophony of demand from GOP to be transparent and so he did asking the judge to unseal the search warrant and the receipt.
 

Trump can release the warrant and list without court intervention. Of course he rather exploit the vacuum to spread lies and misinformation for more donations.

 

True to his exploitative nature, he is considering challenging the court to stop the release. Court will rule and we can be assured that his lawyers will appeal and drag this as long as they can. Keeping the truth in the dark will keep his base misinformed and has always been in Trump’s playbook.

I agree that James Comey throwing the 2016 election to Donald Trump by reopening the email investigation days before the election was appalling, but I don't think he intentionally politicized the Justice Department.
