Does it?  Putting a man in ICU could be justified depending on how it started?   You're not really suggesting that, are you?

"that's why the footage is being hidden".

The footage is being hidden?    How do you know that it is "being hidden"?  You're claiming that it is not available to police investigators (Thaivisa posters are not investigators)?

Can you explain why all of the sympathy should go to the loser of the fight?

Two men chose to fight to 'settle their differences'.

The Thai guy lost.

This was not a case of some nasty French gangster running around targeting poor defenceless Thai men.

I hope the Thai man recovers, but he does not appear to be as squeaky clean as some would suggest.

Good, put them on a plane and let them stay out of Thailand. Dont need this kind of @#^*** here.

  • Selective editing.   They cut the part out immediately before this where the Frenchman started walking away and the Thai guy goes after him and throws a leg kick. I haven't seen it from the

  • He stopped the car and got out He  should of just kept driving   Do stupid things win stupid prizes

Doesn't the video of the actual incident show the Thai man getting involved in the fight?

In other words, he wasn't just attacked, right?

He was a willing participant.

Hm,...Maybe he was just defending himself !? I didn't see him pulling punches....

Let's be honest, he punched him once, maybe twice.

And the Thai guy was up for a fight.

It wasn't like he "put him in the ICU" intentionally by stomping all over his head 100 times.

The guy had an unlucky fall and hit his head.

They should never have been fighting in the first place.

The media has reported the incident as an ‘unprovoked attack’ & distributed a clipped video which lends towards a bias and untrue view of events.

The longer but still clipped video shows what appears to be a fair ‘fight’ between two adults…

What this story really needs is a video  & information of what occurred leading up to the fight….. instead the media run with the injured Thai’s Wife’s version of events which paint the ‘Thai fighter’ a saint & the ‘French fighter’ a villain….

Something is clearly being kept back, we don’t have the full story.

Maybe the police do, so why have they only released this incomplete information to the media…

Was there an earlier impact / collision which triggered the incident ?

Had, a thai wife, not has. She will be off ithe money now he is incarcerated - and I would not blame her running off rather than being with a savage. Hope they both get 20 years in hell

If it was two Thai Hisos beating a farang unconscious and putting him into ICU, the pair would be out on bail.  The story would disappear from the MSM as some paltry compensation was negotiated and the farang victim would probably be thrown out of the country and blacklisted because he was unconscious and in ICU when his visa extension expired.

Anyone who doesn't grasp the two tiered system of "justice" here will probably end up a victim of it eventually.

A level playing field would allow these guy to do what Thais are allowed to do - compensate the victim and his family and then skate.

It should be a 500 THB each for fighting as so sad for the loser.
If the Farang had lost and was in ICU, this would be an non-issue.

Bottom line a foreigner puts a Thai guy in the ICU by fighting

After they had been drinking plus a problem involving their car and the motor bike

The Thai police won't be looking favourable at the Farangs

Have you watched the video?

…. it was a fight between two guys… not a savage unprovoked attack…

he didn’t stamp on his head, use a knife or glass him savagely in the face…. The Thai guy fell hitting his head badly after getting hit… very unfortunate….   But it was a fight between two guys, not a savage attack.

The video shows the Thai guy kicking out twice & the French man hitting & kicking him back….

What occurred before this point is not clear.

We all know that the French guys were only in self defense. Better to charge the Thai men with a crime. This is just ridiculous  but what else with a racist country like Thailand.

Mind you, Thai men can be charged with murder and still get bail, or should I say rich Thai men get bail.

The Thai Prosecutors had best get a wriggle on with the case as the French Embassy will already be screaming to let them out on Bail, and then they will be gone in a flash. The same happened in Chiang Mai a few years ago with two suspects for a murder case...just saying. I hope the Thai man in ICU improves, but it doesn't sound good.

No we don’t know that at all…. That is just dumb s#!t you just made up.

…..‘something’ happened, as yet the trigger is unclear, there was a fight… the Thai guy lost.
The incident appears to have been misreported…..   but the French guy is definitely responsible for his part in the Thai guy ending up in ICU.

He deserves the same punishment a Thai would face in the same circumstances.

People are giving opinions on the facts of  the incident.  Not judging who is right or wrong based on who is Thai or not.
It makes no sense.  That a person riding in a vehicle is going to attack another person.  Just because that person said they have a nice car.

Ironical that Thai's get bailed for far more serious charges that this. They were dumb to get involved in a scrap but what they really need now is a damned good lawyer. Based on the porsche I assume that at least one of them can afford a shark in a suit.

Agreed… the wife ( of the Thai guy in ICU ) has clearly fabricated some utter BS and the media fell for it….

…… no one attacks ppl because they said their car is nice !!!

Usually it’s like five or six Thai guys beating up one porn guy then the five or six going to the police station they pay a few hundred and they released we haven’t seen all the tape so to make an opinion on what really happened would be impossible all that I’m saying is it was the other way around what do you really think would happen TIT

We really don't know very much about this case but this thread is rife with speculation.

I will keep my thoughts on who is wrong until the full details come out.

At this moment, all that I do know is that the full story is not being told.

I dont know and dont care. You can also just avoid confrontation.

Sometimes it's not possible to avoid confrontation. If someone attacks you, you may not be able to run away after the first couple of punches. In this case, the Thai guy seemed to be surprised at being attacked, and I don't think he could escape. YMMV.

Going to Hua Hin next month.  I'm glad these two idiots won't be around.

And you need to fill in log book to drive the car outside your province in the day. Dealer gave me the log book but didn't explain about why and not to drive at night. I had the red plates about 6 months and did many many night drives and drives to other provinces.

but you know all the story?

However, I do not understand what the driver did apart from being there.

Is their some other footage that I have missed?

Is the driver being blacklisted for driving on red plates at night or did he do something that I haven't seen in any of the reports?

They both confessed to the crime, according to article. Source article says they where tailgating the motorcycle and sounding their horn, whereby the motorcycle stopped at the side of the road, because the driver thought they needed help. He went up to the Porsche, now parked across the road, holding up all traffic, and asked in English if they needed help. Then the passenger got out and the rest is obvious from the video. Driver I think is as much part of the assault as the passenger, firstly he tailgated and honked, and then failed to just drive away, allowing the passenger do what he did.

But there seems to be more to this story, why the tailgating and honking? Did the Thai guy really just walk up and offer help, or was there something else entirely?

I think the two Frenchmen should get fifty lashes each, then taken out to be hung, drawn and quarted , after this they should be fined and compensation awarded to this poor innocent Thai ' victim ' as has already been decided by the court of opinion on TVF.

Then their remains should be deported, And then blacklist their ' ashes '

Their car should be handed over to Ferrari Joe as he knows what to do with such items.

Any Rolex's found in their abode, hand them over to the Deputy PM.

If they do manage to get out on bail, I am pretty sure the Thai authorities will confiscate their passports!

I guess men who batter someone and drive a Porsches are easier to find and apprehend than those who kill someone and drive Ferraris ????

I wish to learn the story from the foreigners side. They probably have a totally different version. I think many people here are jealous of them having a brand new Porsche, and can't stand people doing better than themselves.
