I was just a gigolo
And everywhere I go
People know the part I'm playing

Paid for every dance
Selling each romance
Oh, what they're saying

There will come a day
When youth will pass away
What will they say about me

When the end comes I know
They'll say "just a gigolo"
As life goes on without me.....

Fully qualified Safecracker ........if you must know

regards worgeordie

I was an unsafe cracker.  It's the way I tell 'em ????

Jack of All, master of only my self employment:

... Chimney Sweep

... Truck driver

... Slum Lord

... Market Investor

... Firearms sales

30+ (going nowhere) salaried jobs with employers, with one exception, most lasting 1 to 3 months.  A couple shy of 1 year.

A few I actually enjoyed:

Lithographic printing

Photo/negative developing

Baker

Nightclub + disco + bar owner as well as owner of short time hotels and escort services.

Rocket scientist (I designed antennas and various systems for rockets, weather and TV satellites, guided missiles...)

For me, as little as possible! And still do.

Not many so called "professionals" voted yet 555

I never worked "back in my home country" - I left straight after graduation.

Geologist - metals exploration & mining.

Teach. Started in junior/senior high school, then on to university (current position). It is a great job, about 20 weeks' holiday a year, some paid jaunts to "conferences", and free coffee. What more could a man ask for?

ETA: also not in my home country.

Back in the day, I was walking in to the office, and I saw an honest worker taking great caress he marked out and cut paving

slabs.

”I say, my good man,” I called out to him.  “I see you are marking out your slabs with commendable care and diligence, but did you know that at the National Physics Laboratory we can measure with an error of one millionth of an inch?”

”Nae good in this job, pal. In this  job ye’ve got tae be dead on”

Trick cyclist, but all my customers were nutters.

Summer/part time jobs:

farm laborer

highway construction flagman

refinery lab technician

I am wondering whether there is any room left for comedians on this thread.

I started as a caddie. I mixed with some extremely wealthy people, but somehow none of the riches rubbed off on me.
