A naked British man on a rampage smashed a beer bottle over an Australian tourist‘s head until he was covered in blood yesterday in Pattaya, Chon Buri province, eastern Thailand.

 

At 10.30pm, officers at Pattaya City Police Station were informed that a foreigner was assaulted and injured at the Tahitian Queen Agogo bar on Pattaya Beach Road in Nong Prue subdistrict in Bang Lamung district. Police rushed to the scene to investigate with rescue workers from Pattaya’s Sawang Boriboon Thammasatham Foundation.

At the scene, a crowd of onlookers huddled around 77 year old Josef Slezak of Australian nationality, who had a bust left eyebrow and a face full of blood after being attacked by the naked Englishman. Rescue workers provided first aid before transporting him to the hospital for treatment.

 

Police detained the perpetrator, a stark naked British man, and took him to the police station for interrogation, reports 77Koaded.

Witnesses at Tahitian Queen Agogo told the police that the British man was drinking at the bar last night when he suddenly took off all his clothes and paraded around the bar stark naked.

Return to normal - all's well in Pattaya

Some Mothers, and places like Pattaya Do 'Ave 'Em.

I just love this type of thing happening .....    it really reminds me of what it's like on walking street.  You can't get this in any normal bar in Brisbane or Sydney.   It's  good to see this keeps the place alive .....     well done  !!

Unfortunate commentary.  Glassing / bottling does occur in Oz. Acts of cowardly extreme violence which should receive severe jail sentences as should the guy in the OP. Hopefully police will not accept any pay off.

The TQ seems an unlikely bar for this kind of incident.  Sounds like it could have been worse without staff and customers intervening. Nutters can show up anywhere.

Actually over the years a lot of incidents (that go unreported) like this. Bikers and service guys, plus normal idiots don't mix at times. probably same in many bars, but TQ has had its moments.

So when you drink beer, how often do YOU take all your clothes off and hit other people with bottles ?

You can wig out on the herb. The stuff these days is very medically strong.

 

Also, people tend to know their limits when drinking ( # of drinks & what kind, whiskey, beer etc) vs having no idea how potent the herb they are smoking is until it’s too late. You can also get paranoid when stoned, it’s not always mellow.

Just another one of the quality tourists that Thailand attracts. There'll be another similar report in a day or two.

Brits in Pattaya sure punch above their weight when comes to these sorts of incidents. I am happy to mix with all nationalities except drunken Brits.

I have a close Spainish friend and he tells me it is similar in tourist areas in Spain also.

This idiot should be locked up in a cell or in a mental institution.
