Proof once again that giving away privilege visas to anyone that can afford one it no guarantee of a person's quality.

Proof if ever that Thailand would rather give expensive visas to villains than easy visas for poorer people with Thai families

I don't think anybody is going to lose any sleep over this incident, and over this permanent deportation. There's never a situation that calls for violence against the police or immigration. We might

Now they're being kicked out of the Kingdom, I'm just curious to see who will get to keep the more than 20 luxury cars they found at the compound. 😏🤔

I would have thought they would be getting some jail time before being deported,

Its very uncommon for the RTP to take an interest in threats from one person to the other and even more uncommon that they would arrest that person

In those pacific islands there are many indians who have been there a very long time. Especially Fiji.

There is your answer. Money is the most important thing for Thailand. People don't matter.

Not good optics for Thai Elite….
Indian - Vanuatu nationality, what are the odds of this guy having any Melanesian heritage??

Aren't there Thai Elite police checks ?

Paid guards fighting immigration ??? A ban means nothing…,

? sorry, this has gone over my head? What is the relationship between the Thai Elite and Indians?

They should be kept for a while in jail first before kicking them out. Deporting them now would be a slap in the wrist. If police would go on a thorough background check of Elite visa holders, many of them are criminals.

By Peter Roche

Nine foreign nationals are being deported and given a lifetime ban from entering Thailand after an attack on Immigration officers at a luxury villa in upscale Cherng Talay.

The original incident took place on Thursday, October 26, when officers visited the property in the sub-district of Cherng Ttalay to arrest an Indian national.

Tanet Sukchai, Phuket Immigration Chief, says 36 year old Nikhil Arora, of dual Indian/Vanuatu nationality, was the main target of the operation. An arrest warrant had been issued for Mr Arora after he allegedly threatened another Indian man. He was in the kingdom on a Privilege visa (previously known as the Elite visa).

He had a Thailand Privilege Visa, previously Thailand Elite.

Looks like Privilege visas are "too easy" to get.

The topic seems illogical and has the flavor of score-settling and blackmail. Since when did the Thai police act because of a report filed by a foreigner against another? Whoever has lived here for a long time will understand the meaning.

Is it easy to buy Vanuatu passport?

it used to be very easy given its a tax free haven, not sure if its still the same.

Expensive but easy. One of those countries that gives a passport for a wad of cash.

May be it just goes to show you how profitable a scam call center operation in Calcutta can be.

He's going to save a lot on Thai IncomeTax. Lol, no more TIT(s).

Attacking any Thai official especially a foreigner is not what any sane person would contemplate.

Except Rich elites?

foreigners have been given a lifetime ban after an incident

Wish Europe would do the same, it would sort out so many problems?

Congratulations.

You have recognised the core of the visual joke.....a joke that was almost certainly created by an Indian.

Now this statement is a classic joke!

Which country has a reasonably good vetting process for their visa system?

Look at the amount of terrorists and asylum seekers that have visas to the Western countries - ironically, for a genuine tourist from the same countries the terrorists/asylum seekers  come from are refused visas - Reality...Money opens doors. Big Money open big doors.

Vetting procedure??

Oh that'll be....
