How and where would he lodge the required receipt of notification TM30?

Abysmal reporting absolutely no content other than the tent & a person were there which tells us nothing.

Last time I was at  Cha-Am beach I noticed there was a designated area for camping. Of course, Patong beach caters to a totally different market. This guy may have been acting quite innocently, but I can understand why the locals wouldn't want it to become a thing.

Absolutely, no camping out on beaches... hotels are provided.

Camping?? What is that? do you have a permit for it?? O no? than a fine, because you are a foreigner

Lot of concerned busy bodies lately. I can imagine there are plenty of small deserted coves along the coast, no need to put your tent in their face so to speak.

They did give a location and showed the team of police required for such risky business.  I suppose SWAT were too busy with the umbrella guys.

who wants to bet he was smoking the weed in his tent.

So a "concerned" snitch aka busybody decided to rat out a foreigner staying in a tent. Why can't Thais just leave others alone?

And base level sentence composition at that.

This does not make him a bad person ...............LOL

Nothing to say he was living in it, maybe just wanted a bit of private space to have a sleep or whatever on a beach.

Could just take a dump in the gutter, :cheesy: and where do you go if wanting a pee while on a beach?

Looks like a serious infringement of the no pegging rule 🤔

"concerned nearby residents"

I can imagine the daily sight of a foreigner on the beach driving some Thai crazy that he is not paying like a good boy. Until their poor little Thai soul cannot od ton anymore and have to report him.

no way ....  camping on the beach in a tent.   you have to pay .... nothing is free in Thailand

He must be connected, as he did not get deported.

The nice welcome to Thailand folk who told him to leave said it is, but that doesn't actually mean that it is. And if it is, why? And what were the 'nearby residents' concerned about?

Yes, as everybody knows.......
