What is your definition of a young girl?

While working for the Thai gov many years ago, an older Thai guy told me 'Nobody cares, if everyone agrees and nobody gets hurt.'

His defintion is irrelevant it's the legal defintion that counts.

All it takes is one arrogant dude from the Neutral country to eff up the game.

I am glad he got his visa revoked.  That man has anger issues...and he is lucky that he has not run up against a pissed Thai who is trigger happy.

Had a night on Walking street recently, I was surprised how many young farang guys were working on the street outside clubs, more than 30 I would say, put together with all the Russian staffed "tourist booths" around town, seems like work permits easy to get in Pattaya

And you wonder why it has become harder and harder to work with immigration on visas... a few bad apples are rotting the bunch... I hope that Thailand commits to rounding up all of them and send them packing or to prison.

No, I don't wonder about it. I have a different idea as to why. Not that the bad behavior goes unnoticed. I think they are difficult as part of an intentional strategy to drive us to use agents. Because agents pay them a share of the fee. I've seen it often enough.

We wanted quality tourists, now it is becoming a reality.

Pull up your socks, hold your breath and wait for the result.

Is it harder and harder to get Visa's ???

Harder how exactly ???

The only 'harder' bit I see, is those who were trying to circumnavigate visa regulations are now finding circumnavigating visa regulations more difficult.

For others - Thai Elite, Non-Imm O (Retirment, Marriage, Child) or Non-Imm-OA etc, Non-Imm B, work permit holders...     the same regulations are in place, in some area's some documents are required in others the 'specifics of documentation' is a little more relaxed....

I see that it may be more difficult for some to get Ed Visas and Volunteer visas - but really, how many of those were genuine cases anyway ?

How many more "Bad foreigner did this" stories does there have to be before they turn the land of smiles into the land of snarls then ?

I am sure that there are far worse incidents going unreported by locals on themselves but they are deemed too unworthy or unpalatable to be referred to.

Phucket Go is an English-language expat/tourist oriented publication isn't it?  Incidents involving foreigners are, obviously, more worthy and palatable!

The RTP MIGHT care to remember that it wasn't FORMED to address offences committed by foreign visitors!

So ... it needs to deal EQUALLY promptly with those committed by Thai nationals!

Which STATISTICALLY, are going to outnumber those committed by foreign visitors!

Police job is to deal with all, regardless of nationality, local, tourist, or farangy expats.

Why do you think the police don't deal with their own troublemakers....?

You explained in detail... I was vaguely referring to the constant whiners who are indignant that they now have to follow the rules more stringently... I personally have never had a problem with immigration.

"Also arrested were Russian nationals Tatiana Zaichkina and Timur Tuktalov who have been on overstay since February 1.

In Karon, Australian Carl Ken Haddad was arrested for illegal possession of diazepam, a Category 4 narcotic, while Russian Andrei Alexandrov was arrested at Nai Yang Beach after it was discovered he had overstayed by just one day."

Organised crime most evidently.

If that is organised I shudder to think what would happen if "Dis-organised"

All said in jest with tongue pressed firmly into cheek.......

Wow - you must be fun at parties, & careful up there on that soap box, its gets slippery and you'll likely slip under the burden of hypocrisy...

....  You're also getting your 'isms' mixed up.... The religion here in Thailand is Buddhism, not Mormonism...
