August 20, 18:05, police were called to a violent road rage incident on Soi Khao Noi, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. The incident involved a stabbing, with one individual sustaining injuries.

Pol. Col. Navin Sinthurat, Superintendent of Bang Lamung Police Station, received the report of an assault involving a weapon and ordered investigators and patrol officers, along with rescue teams from Sawang Boriboon Pattaya, to respond to the scene.

Upon arrival, rescuers found a 58-year-old, reported as a Polish national, suffering from a puncture wound to his neck, just below his left jaw. The injury had caused significant bleeding. Emergency responders provided first aid before rushing him to the hospital.

At the scene, police recovered a makeshift weapon, a triangular-shaped, sharp metal object resembling a screwdriver with a plastic handle, believed to have been used in the attack. Bloodstains marked the area. The assailant had fled the scene on a motorcycle before authorities arrived.

A witness, 16-year-old, recounted that prior to the stabbing, he overheard a heated argument between the victim and the assailant. The dispute reportedly stemmed from a traffic altercation, where the victim, driving a car, and the assailant, on a motorcycle, confronted each other. The argument escalated into a physical fight, with the assailant unable to overpower the victim and resorting to stabbing him with the sharp object.

Shortly after, the assailant's friends arrived on motorcycles, armed with wooden sticks. Fortunately, authorities arrived on the scene in time, causing the group to disperse and flee in different directions.

Pol. Col. Navin Sinthurat has ordered a manhunt for the suspect, using descriptions provided by witnesses and video footage captured by bystanders. The police are actively gathering evidence to apprehend the suspect and bring him to justice.

The dirty herd should've all been arrested for being accomplices, taken back to the police station and given the mandatory roughing up. They would have all snitched on the perpetrator. It makes me wonder if the bib's are scared of these make believe Rambos.

If you ever have a run in with a male Thai - always think that they have a knife/gun (so many do), and they will always bring all their mates and beat the khrarpp out of you.   As said above - stay in the car you idiot - this aint Kansas.  And get very dark tinting on the windscreens so they cant see you or passengers.  If it is a hire car and they can see you, then stay inside.

I won't say anything about this as my comment will surely be offensive.

When I was a teenager the mandatory police action was a full bore boot up the ass. The pain was so great that we needed to eat our meals off the mantle piece for at least a fortnight. We learned the hard way and pulled our heads in or the next step was in the nick.

Friends arrived with wooden sticks.

Let's have a guess which clientele they all belong to ... bouncers on Walking Street or Soi 6?

Just a rough guess ... 🤷🏼‍♂️

The problem is they come from up north, hit Pattaya and are totally out of their league. They're supposed to be looking for work, instead get on lao khao and yabba and become raving morons. I've been up north many times as my wife comes from there. She's the first to admit how careful people have to be if you upset them. The areas around Koh Talo have become very dangerous places. When the areas were first developed it was a very nice part of Pattaya. How things have changed in 20 years.

Duh, wouldn't it have been a good idea to arrest them and find out where the assailant is hiding out? The Thai cops don't really seem interested in catching him.

The suspect??? What about his friends who arrived with intent to bash the victims head in? Time for harsh punishments for the little sick boys with temper.

I could've had a similar situation a few days ago. I was driving along North Road when this idiot came flying up behind me on a motor bike. I stopped for the red light and he nearly ran straight up my a**e. He yelled out, my wife told me he said why did I stop. He had a savage look on his his face, so I just said chok dee and moved on. I first moved to Pattaya 24 years ago, I only drive my car when I go go to Bangkok or shop at a super market. Normally my transport is baht buses and walking.

Yeah, I wonder: "disperse and flee" - couldn't they catch them all there?!?! So weird...

Basically attempted murder if stabbed him in the neck.

None of the police thought to round up some of the guys with sticks to find out who their mate is ? 🤔🙈

A man hunt has been ordered, by the time the BIB's got their act together the perpetrator was already back where this behavior is normal. He'll be back in Pattaya when he considers the dust has settled.

Good advice. I had a similar incident on Sathorn about 10 years ago. Some loon blocked me with his bike then banged on my window for me to open it while his other hand was in his back pocket.

Best to stay in the car. Either you lose the fight and end up with something sticking out of your neck or you win the fight and end up on the front of the paper with 5 cops pointing at you and possibly deported. Lose lose.
