Thailand’s national police chief Suwat Jangyodsuk and his family have a combined wealth of 104 million baht, it has been revealed.

According to documents submitted to Thailand’s National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Pol Gen Suwat and his family’s wealth is split over various assets and cash, with zero debt.

Pol Gen Suwat was forced to declare his wealth in accordance with his job and his role as a senator.

PPTV reported, Pol Gen Suwat, 59, owns some 52.9 million baht in assets and cash, while his 50 year old wife owns 50.2 million baht. His two children, who are both minors, own 870,856 baht.

His annual salary from his job with the police is 1,466,154 baht.

The declaration stated that Pol Gen Suwat and his wife own a two storey house in Nonthaburi which they bought in November 2007 and is worth 15,192,000 baht.

They also have investments worth approximately 31 million baht.

Pol Gen Suwat also owns three plots of land in Samut Prakan, Chonburi and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya worth 10,535,600 baht and two cars worth 3,200,000 baht.

The declaration also stated ownership of 25 other assets which included 10 gold bars, worth 2.6 million baht, 1 Rolex watch worth 1.3 million baht, 1 Patek Philippe watch worth 7 hundred thousand baht, 20 guns and 12 amulets, the value of which was not known.

His wife has arguably an even more impressive watch collection.

She also owns a Patek Philippe, as well as five other timepieces including a Panarai and Frank Mueller.

Mrs Jangyodsuk also owns 3 women's bags worth 7 hundred thousand baht, jewelry worth 1.1 million baht and pearls worth 1.8 million baht.

All paid for by the people not wearing crash helmets

  • what is the point of these declarations if they don't investigate where the money came from

  • He earns the salary of an international school teacher and he is worth 2.6 Million Euro's. If this doesn't bring up red flag, than I don't know what doesn't.

And a "wealth" of 104 million baht is something for the news because of what? There are many persons in Thailand with that amount. Nothing to lift any eye brows over. Just let the guy be.

What a talented investor, my hat off to him for turning an ok salary into a multi million dollars wealth!

From what I heard, earning roughly 120k per month while supporting a wife and children makes it hard to own several luxury watches, let alone multiple properties...

My GF's relatives are close to a small local judge who earns about 100K per month, he lives in a small 3MB house he bought a long time ago and owns a car that is at least 20 years old. He has never been abroad and has just put a couple of millions into savings for his kids who are about to graduate university. He must have been doing it all wrong...

Nothing else to see here people, keep moving.

Agreed... My annual salary was 2,475,000 baht (exchange rate applied) and I'm nowhere near what he is worth financially!!! 555

If there was a reliable tax system it would be very clear were his wealth came from..Surely not from his salary savings.

Watches are probably just borrowed from a friend :-P

  • Popular Post

Don't tell me the watch collections belong to dead friends and no mention of any overseas holdings as run insurance when the time arrives ????

That would raise eyebrow in any other country.

Most countries anyways.

All that money       and 20 guns too!!

I guess he needs that many guns to keep would be burglars at bay?!  !!!

No, he just invested wisely and made his money legally on the stock market, just as they all do…..
