  • What image ? I was advised on my first trip here in 1991 that they were corrupt as <deleted>, and never to trust them, and things have never improved !

  • Protect the image? This.....Mister PM......is both the image and the reality of the police. You're only furious the because truth has been exposed....again.

  • Video on the capture of several of the police officers:   https://twitter.com/ThaiNewsReports/status/1430368972986195969   Don't forget the doctor who forged the cause of death.

Being a ex-copper, he is going to have to watch his back with the other inmates once his lengthy prison sentence starts.

If they ever find him. Plus what is going to happen to the other 5 who took an active part in the ice mans murder? transferred to an INACTIVE post?

PS the video on FB is much better.

It didn't teach you that his being involved in trafficking drugs because he wouldn't work like most people do was not a good idea?

What a self righteous, patronising comment. For starters, I was 8000 miles away. 2nd, working "like most people" was strangely unavailable, unless you call 15 THB a day in the local tobacco factory work. He took the risk and got severely bashed up. If you want to say "serves him right" then I'm in the wrong forum. Maybe even the wrong country.

How stupid must you be to commit murder with video cameras operating? Answer: Really stupid.
Makes one wonder how many times this was done before.

At the time, they weren't committing murder, they were committing extortion that inadvertently turned into a murder.

How stupid must you be to commit extortion with video cameras operating?

Answer: Really stupid.

Can be summed up in one word .... GREED.

Starts with pocketing 100 baht for not wearing a helmet and finishes up asphyxiating people for millions.

One thing for sure  he won't be cruising in the Lambo any time soon.

RIP his unfortunate victim.

He obviously didn't know about them.

  • Anyone who's been here any length of time knows that this is what is expected of police. The newcomer expats still seem to think that having a relative in the police somehow makes them higher in status, as they don't understand how the police here are percieved/feared.

The facebook video shows they were shocked that he was dead and tried to wake him up.

What did they expect with a plastic bag on your head.

I heard they offered the corrupt cops 1 mil but they wanted 2mil.

They all need to be shot .

Dirty pigs

If Prayuth, Prawit or any other higher up is serious about this case, then have the entire lot arrested and thrown into the slammer without bail.
That also applies to the medic who is either a complete idiot and must be removed from his post or purposely, most likely against a little "pour boire" purposely inserted the wrong cause of death.

Put the entire court case live on TV and only then some will start to believe, that there is a possibility to see changes on the horizon of the planet's possibly most corrupt filth called police. What a shame to the people of this land.

In closing, maybe one checks also on the boss of the sweet heart Thitisan; if the latter roams Nakorn Sawan in fancy cars costing eight digits, some higher ups must have been blind or likewise involved in the taking while the taking was good ....... me thinks!

He was the station chief, so he might have had a clue. It amazes me that so many people, not only in Thailand, haven't yet caught on to the fact that there are video cameras everywhere. My favourite tale is about a woman who owned a women's clothing store and who installed CCTV to catch shoplifters, and she herself was caught on camera stealing from a woman's bag while the customer was in a booth trying on a dress. Dumb as they come.

No, it wasn't self-righteous or patronising.   Neither did I say that "it serves him right".

For starters, it was a comment on your post in which you said that (although you were 8,000m away!) it taught you "that fear of the Thai authorities is, at times, your best friend", your words.  So why couldn't it have taught you that his being involved in trafficking drugs because he wouldn't work like most people do was not a good idea?   Same distance involved!

How long ago was this when factory wages were "B15 per day"?

Not once did I see any of them look in the direction of the camera. Very arrogant of them, it's as if this was not the first time...

I believe that's "operation modi" for these guys in brown.

Sad look on society when most of the <deleted> going on everyday is considered  "business  as usual".

What image? That of a lethargic, boorish, greedy, totally amoral and sadistic bunch, who will only get off their backsides when there’s money to be made? Pathetic excuse for a police force.

They probably did fix the cameras they knew about, but the one that took this video was hidden by someone who wanted out.

Suwat tried to limit the damage saying that there were plenty of good cops as well as some bad apples.

Are you then one of the "good apples", Mr. Millionaire RTP Head Honcho?

The RTP won't be clean and corruption free until they clean it out of dirty cops, starting from the top down. That scumbag copper has obviously done this many times before in order to live a hiso life, not in line with his yearly wealth and he would have been greasing RTP senior management wheels ( his bosses) since day 1. You don't flaunt that sort of wealth if you haven't got protection.

"Elephant ticket"?

I guess Thailand doesn’t have the equivalent of an AC-12?  ????

His wife owns a luxury car business, according to the Bangkok Post.

Does that mean he got all cars for free?

The wife must make a roaring trade.

The officer that released this must be fearing for his life. Most likely will end up "missing" soon.

4 policemen arrested for allegedly killing suspect in viral video, manhunt for others underway

TSNBg3wSBdng7ijMh1SIObOYoYtc9i1tZ1V0CHqcQFe.jpeg

The already tainted reputation of the Thai police has been dealt another devastating blow by the release of a viral video clip, purportedly showing a group of plainclothes officers torturing a suspect to death.

Seven police officers in Nakhon Sawan province’s Muang district, who are believed to have been involved in the alleged murder of the suspect, have been dismissed from the police service, pending the outcome of an investigation. They have initially been charged with abuse of authority, coercion and murder through torture or brutal acts. Warrants for their arrests have also been issued by the Nakhon Sawan Provincial Court.

Four have been captured and three are on the run, including Pol Col Thitisan Uttanaphon, also known as “Joe Ferrari” for his supercar collection, who was the superintendent of the Muang district police in Nakhon Sawan.

Thitisan reportedly went underground three days ago, after he was transferred to the operations centre of the 6th Region Provincial Police Bureau.

!Why does the mention of owning very expensive cars and being a drug suppression officer not surprise me.  Now we know where he got the money from!"

Yes, we do, the same news source quoted his wife as being the hiso owner of a luxury car business

So how did they get the money to start the business in the first place?

That is a multi-million USD investment. Not bad for a copper on a 30k a month salary.

Wife says Thai media report the video is from CCTV cameras in the station and the young, rich, corrupt, insane police officer asked a subordinate to destroy all footage, which they didn’t do, and the doctor was told to lie on the death certificate, which he did do.  Both are sorry for their decisions.

  • Popular Post

I guess without the video nothing would have happened. The doctor marked the death as drug related and the victims body is already burned. Shocking.
