The issue here is not so much that there are those who have broken covid-19 regulations but these who made those very regulations and those who enforce those regulations are most likely to be those very people who brake them.....  IF you don’t believe me, you haven’t 'scratched the surface' !!!

The people that are really being punished here are the bars and restaurants that are not breaking the rules, losing customers and business to those that are prepared to take the risk.    Every business that does take the risk is doing it in a less safe way than they would be if they were allowed to open with sensible restrictions.

Too many people bury their heads in the sand over this and pretend to themselves that if they cannot actually see people having any kind of fun, then covid spreads less.   The reality is that people are still having fun, but in less ventilated, less controlled environments where covid has a greater chance of spreading.   This also affects track and trace as nobody is going to confess to having a party in a bar behind closed doors or a condo room, nor will they have to sign in etc so contacts are never traced.

The virus is simply not scary enough for the vast majority of people who are under 60 and healthy to stop them from socialising with their friends.   Any serious effort to tackle this needs to have support from this group of people, and you do not get that by simpleton thinking that simply closing bars and preventing restaurants from selling alcohol will stop people from gathering with their friends and drinking alcohol.

Once you accept the fact that people who are not scared of the virus will continue to socialise regardless of rules, then you can start to think about making policies that allow people to do so in a safer and more controlled way.

Sorted easily and to ensure no repitition

"Persona non grata" into passport and escorted to the airport straight from Police to immigration detention

And that would be without trial would it?

I wonder if actual Covid safety was on police minds? Did they test anyone for Covid ? Would it not be the first thing to do ? To decide to isolate them or to bring them to police station and police cells where they can infect others

This is a fair point!

If any of those arrested actually prove positive for Covid then the exercise of banning alcohol and illegal gatherings is justified!

Then they deserve to be in trouble!

Some tried to disguise themselves with leaves.

Was that Fig leaves?

And may I remind you all. Adam and were the first people ever NOT to read the Apple terms and conditions.????

I mean... it wasn't a terrible hiding place, but he probably shouldn't have popped his head out to see what was going on.

Time you minded your own business and not make assumptions based on someone's age.

don't forget to keep about 2.500 quid on one of those maxed out creditcards - you'll need it for your one way flight and 10 day quarantine hotel lol

See Ya lol

It does not make sense to make laws and regulations and then not to enforce them.

Why confuse the issue with rational thinking.

There are those that think all laws and regulations are only implemented so the police have an opportunity to abuse their position.

That is until it affects them personally.

Deprived foreigners and BGs - even a pandemic can’t keep them apart

just create a big bubble...once in can’t leave....set an expiration date....everyone must test negative at the same time and then collapse the bubble....

How awful, disgusting.

They have to be tarred and feathered immediately. ????

Excellent! I could not find a better way to stop tourists from coming.

Majority in Banglamung (85 at least) are from construction camps which are now sealed off. Do you want severe punishment for them or think they don't care because they are doing their best to earn a meager living?

Many of them are brought into the country illegaly by the construction maffia and that's were the 3th wave came from(a big part of it anyway) . I don't mind that those people want to earn a meager living but shouldn't the Thais without a job been doing that . But they are to expensive for those rich construction companies owned by hi-so that spread the an other huge part of the 3th wave .

There isn't even 20 foreigner in pattaya.

Can't they stay away from this rift raft for a year or more. Its a high class establishment making everybody gag to go their. I wasn't even on the guest list.

a beer on a beach after midnight wow ! That is some serious stuff! I'm sure when the tourist industry tells everyone they  can get arrested for a beer on the beach after midnight the bookings will come rushing in. But to book other countries.

They found social gathering, they found alcohol and they found Sisha. It is good that they didn't find any prostitution.

Thailand has a wealth of alcoholics in all provinces. Statistics show that 70% of farangs have at least 5 drinks a day with some starting in the morning hours.

The Pattaya police must have seen the article on the 3 old age pensioners getting busted on Samui - once again plod showing where their priorities are!

I wonder how many motor bikes they passed with no rear lights or helmetless riders on the way to the "crime scene"?

"Statistics show"?

And exactly where did these statistics come from? The Tea and Coffee Distributors Association, or  Alcoholics Anonymous?

And are you implying that the "wealth of alcoholics in all provinces" are all farang, because you don't mention Thais at all?

Selfish or just because after a year and a half of this endless movie they broke their balls?

Selfish because this kind of publicity tends to drag all foreigners here into this same clueless category - then we all suffer any consequences.
