China has agreed to provide medical equipment, including oxygen generators and fingertip oximeters, valued at 10 million yuan (about 50 million baht), to Thailand to help in the fight to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chinese Embassy in Bangkok said, in a brief statement today, that the donation is a demonstration of the good wishes and friendship of the Chinese government and people towards the Thai people.

“The pandemic may have no mercy, but we humans have to love each other. The Chinese and Thais will share hardship and happiness and will get through the crisis together,” said the statement.

If you want to share the hardships then why not provide your Chinese vaccines at not for profit?

Are oxygen generators and such for AFTER you've got the Covid, not to contain it?

I guess the hotdog is covid-free then, bon appetite.

The oximeter is another medical tool, to measure how much oxygen is getting into your blood. If you are not getting enough, and it gives a low reading, you should be given supplemental oxygen via an oxygen generator, or from a bottle, and get to a hospital for your heart attack, stroke, collapsed lung, Covid, whatever. Unfortunately, if you rely on a cheap Chinese made one, it might kill you.

That's like setting fire to someone's house, then donating a few bricks.

But; should you eat the oximeter or the hot dog?

Your choice, I heard the jelly-oximeter is strawberry flavored.

And to distract you from the duff vaccines you overpaid for!

Speaking to a Chinese colleague last week, she told me that in China things are back to normal, but complained of the Delta variant, caused by foreigners!

Please return the compliment with respect to the original coronavirus.

My Chinese suppliers said the same. They really had a hard time with the zero tolerance lockdown and the extensive flooding. Just last week, the restrictions were lifted and they could get to the bank and able to did a financial transaction to me.

China donates medical devices worth 50 million baht

The article opens with a line that 'China has agreed to.........' This implies that they were asked to make a free donation and did not volunteer themselves. A contradictory headline.

Instead of donating more medical devices, why not close down the Wuhan Lab?  It would do a world of good.

Are they prescription grade or Lazada grade meters?

The inexpensive "for fun" meters: "These products are sold as either general wellness or sporting/aviation products that are not intended for medical purposes, so they do not undergo FDA review. OTC oximeters are not cleared by the FDA and should not be used for medical purposes."

just cancel all China Debts as payment for their economy / society wrecking bio- weapon release……

I thought the infections were dropping and recoveries increasing?

Hospitals should be coping much better now.

Nobody else wanted their goods. If it works don't tell them as they will send a bill at the end of the day'

People don't get it!  For a country with their wealth wanting to be the leader of the world even before the pandemic no matter how you put it the damn thing was started by them.  Yet whenever there is a world disaster the size of their economy the amount of money they put forth is down right insulting but like blaming the virus on China no one is willing to say a word!

Not flag waving but up to now majority of the Sinovac has been sold to Thailand and sadly the puppet Thai government continue to buy a worthless vaccine, then they decided to only vaccinated their citizen only provided only 100,000 doses for that to happen, now they give 50 million that is less than 2 million USD.

Right or wrong like or dislike the U.S. has given 1.5 million PFizer doses, of those doses 150,000 was set aside not only for Americans but all foreigners, then you got another 2.5 million doses of Pfizer coming by year end,  then you got cash donation of 20 million USD to Thailand so they can purchase more vaccine of their choice, finally another 40 million in USD in medical equipment to fight against the virus.

Talking about setting a example of being a world leader and this comes from a Chinese American. China leaders what a bunch of <deleted> Cheap Chinaman!????????????
