Did any of these fully vaccinated people test positive, break out of the quarantine facility they were in and then go on the run through multiple areas?

Unless they did the comparison is not valid.

It is relevant if vaccinated people pass on covid.

You break out of prison not a medical testing facility.

No more than the farangs who catch covid and won't go into quarantine because they, like so many expats, think they are superior to Thais.

What a strange statement , on what do you base this knowledge sir ? Your own views of expats and Thais or any substantial data ?

He didn't have COVID, what treatment do you think he should have had?

And how much do you think he should have paid for the treatment he didn't need?

100,000bht, 200,000bht?

It's going to cost him a lot more now. What is definition of having COVID? His test was positive.

Nope, but thanks for the stereotyping anyway! ????

Then I'm even more sorry for you.

It must be hard to realize that flogging is no option anymore in civilized countries.

He is an arrogant, self centred spreader of disease who deserves severe punishment. Given the amount of Arabs and Iranians in the prison system he could be in for a hard time. His behavior is not unusual. Most expats who catch covid do not cooperate with the Thai authorities because they believe they are superior to Thais.

After your posts today I can only conclude you are a Hammer who is upset that Spurs tamed West Ham last night.

I wouldn't co-operate because I didn't want to pay the resulting 100-200kbht bill.

Different if it were free, in a nice hotel with room service.

After he was caught he tested negative...

This indicates the initial positive test was a ‘false positive’...   It’s all fairly moot.

He escaped his ’Test & Go’ hotel after testing positive, he didn’t know that was a false positive at the time.

Would he have been ‘re-tested’ for confirmation ????? - this is the big question for anyone arriving in Thailand.

If we are genuinely Positive I think its fair that we are asked to isolate in a ‘hospitel’ (isolation hotel), we know this risk and are supposed to have insurance which covers this - this is our responsibility.

If we are only tested once and test positive, we have a right to feel aggrieved and demand a second conformation test.

How much time in prison do you think he'll get?  Will the Thais make an example out of this guy?

I hope so, but as others on the forum have stated Israelis tend to have a lot of influence in Thailand

So it's Omicron and its likely he spread it here because it spreads like spreading is going out of style.

But he's no.patient zero.

It was already here.

He tested negative after authorities caught up with him....  So, not Omicron, just a false positive.

There seems to be some Political jiggery pokery going on here....

There is now a report which does outline that the ‘Israeli tourist’ tested positive and was infected with Omicron variant...

Either there have been two different israeli tourists who escaped quarantine or someone is telling big fat porkie pies.....

So he tested negative in Isreal, positive on his first test here, negative TWICE on subsequent tests, and now positive again.   How are the tests carried out in this country?  Take a swab and then toss a coin to see what the result is?  Why do people only believe the positive tests and not the negative ones?

Do you know that negative reports can be bought in the market or even faked back in Israel?

No-one  can enter Israel at the moment because they are afraid of Omicron and he behaves like this in Thailand?   Imprisonment, a fine and  then put the idiot on a plane and send him back home !

That's true.

They're hard core with Covid.

The population there is heavily vaccinated.

Why would you assume its political? False positives and negatives aren't exactly super rare.

They employ a lot of Thais and weird considerable influence. They actually look after their citizens as do the Kuwaitis and Saudis.

Sure thing. Its not as if you actually have any evidence that Israeli Jews usually get special treatment here.
