Thailand’s premier said a former police officer who is seeking asylum in Australia should return to formally file complaints against high-ranking figures he alleges were involved in a human trafficking network.

Prayut added that the officer shouldn’t have fled, and that Thailand’s laws would have protected him.

“He should file a complaint, there is a channel for this,” Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha said at government house on Monday when asked about former Police Major General, Paveen Pongsirin.

Why would he? He blew the whistle on your boys, Cha Cha. The ones you work so hard to protect. He exposed their rackets. He unmasked the schemes your crews are involved in.   He is a wanted

Just like they protected the vulnerable Rohingya.

Umm I Think he did and fearing for his life because of what he did he fled to save himself from being made to disappear.  Mr. Prayut must be confused regarding these things.....

What a joker

I think that the guy fear the so called "protection" the most, more than the one who would want to silence him...

Channel to a stomach full of concrete .

He is a wanted man. Wanted for telling the truth, a dangerous thing to do here.

They only want him here so they can silence him along with other critics of the usurper and his cronies who they have promised to prosecute should they return.

This regime doesn't like the truth.

Just like those murdered and found in a barrel in the Mekong were protected by this government perhaps !!

He should respond to Prayut by publishing the whole story online so we can get all the nitty gritty details including those involved all the way to the top.

That would really shake his tree of rotton apples.

It was the law... or should I say RTP & army that were after him... what protection?

  • Popular Post

The full protection of a concrete filled barrel in the Mekong he means ????

Prayut's "come here and say that !" comment may just have guaranteed asylum for the man !

as a police officer he should have finish his full investigation, prosecutor should indict them and courts put behind bars all involved.

as I remember there were at some point over 800 suspects, only 150 indicted and only 75 sentenced.

It shows, that mass graves with 2000 bodies probably were just a tip of an iceberg, with 10x more never to be discovered by now, decomposed in tropical soils in jungles.

It's not about "filing complain against high ranking officers".

he left the country, to never return. Fleeing country made him state enemy. If he just fled to one of the neighbouring countries, he would be dead by now. Thai military death squats hunting him for years.

This oficer is not claiming asylum in australia. By now, after 6 years, he has residency there and soon probably citizenship. By then he will be able to say more. His statements made to australian authorities will be sometimes fully disclosed, without redacting.

Like they do the Red Bull brat?

'complaints against high-ranking figures' - I'm sure they would welcome him back with open jaws.

Slander and computer crime!

He would be crucified in the courts.

There was someone on another thread saying this person was more intelligent than Yingluck.

????

Thailand Law would of protected him it just shows how the PM is so out of touch if this guy was to return he would be in the Temple before he reached the bottom step of the airline that brought him back !

He can get some sweet revenge for having to run for his life.

Staying in Australia the Thai courts can't touch him anyway. 60 minutes would love his story that's for sure.

By "extremely literal", I assume you mean honest and truthful?

Narrator "so we can disappear him properly" thought the General.....
