The Thai authorities used to test too. Any positive for drugs then guilty. Different country, different rules as they choose to enforce their law. Simple. Don't do drugs!

What's the time frame for urine test?

How long does it stay in your system?

If you've only smoked one time, all tracks disappear pretty quickly, often within days. If you have smoked regularly, it could be here for weeks

No it's another reason for the ignorant Malaysian authorities to review  their policies. Stop blood testing travellers which is absurd. And stop executing people for drug offences. They are a disgrace.

Nope, the laws in Malaysia stand as prescribed. The law breakers should be dealt with according to that nations laws.

Let this serve as a warning for many of those partaking in taking these drugs which are illegal in other countries.

The behaviour  of the Malaysian authorities is primitive, authoritarianism, cruel and very short sighted.

This seems to be a regional phenomenon.

Just plain wrong. They should let it be known that they are testing at border points. Then see what happens to their tourism.

It is attitudes like yours that stop progress in the world. So when the Jews were being rounded up it was OK because that was the rule of the day?

From a trickle mighty rivers grow. Edit:

You and the doombrains on the border severely underestimate the popularity of all drugs in Thailand.

Even as the green is everywhere already.

Users will choose their drugs over visiting the minaret yodelling police state every time. That WILL add up.

Trying to dictate what you do in a country where the laws are different.

That sounds familiar????

I thought it depended on how one is tested, so let's be careful out there..........????

I know a farang who came to LOS to take his bird to a posh hotel in BKK to make an impression, he found one that was nice and cheap for what it was.

They got there to find it was very nice but 100% Muslim, no booze...????

Or Russia like Britney Griner who is now in prison there....laws and rules are different the world over. What is OK one place is not elsewhere. Do some research before you get bent out of shape over another countries rules.

There is a big fancy hotel in Pattaya that I believe is similar..... nevertheless I might expect that more in Malaysia than Thailand (Bali excluded).

What.does "no effect on work" mean.? Stoned Sunday but not Monday!

Are you seriously suggesting that a high carries on when you wake up the next day?

Why are people getting upset about this? Malaysia doesnt want drugs brought in so they test. I may be wrong but I am pretty sure this is not hidden from visitors to the country.

That's outrageous.

Thailand used to do the same thing

Make folks pee test in Bangkok & if it came up positive you had to buy your way out.

Didn't matter if you has arrived from Amsterdam days before where pot was legal etc

So basically Thailand should not be too upset ????
