Your question was why Trump is so hated, not whether someone else may have been better / worse as president. However, to answer your question, I really don't know. All politicians have a level of narcissism and are bound to divide to some extent. I'd find it difficult to believe Clinton, or anyone else, could do it as well as Trump though.

Trump didn't win because he was a good choice.

He is fooling no one even his supporters are waning. A few dozen die-hard fans turned up. I counted about 5-6 in front of Trump Tower. Not likely he want to be seen weak with handcuffs. The dumb brute claimed he is second greatest to Jesus and his supporters lapped it up and ask for more.

Perhaps you are correct, but he didn't start any wars, told Euro NATO members to pay their share, tried to secure the southern border and cancelled that IMO diabolical Pacific treaty thing, so a win for the soldiers and collateral damage that would have died, and for us in the south Pacific.

Perhaps they looked at the reaction to the threat and decided not to go ahead with it.

Just imagine if they had arrested him but didn't manage to get a conviction- they be a complete laughing stock. If anyone wants to put someone like Trump on the stand, better have an iron clad case that couldn't fail.

This was looked at by the previous prosecutor and not taken up because apart from the statute of limitations expiring(2 years) it would be near impossible to prove it was not to keep it from his wife plus it is a federal crime if anything not a state one, also the feds did look at it as well and never did anything because they know they couldnt win. This is just bragg trying to get himself re elected so he can let more criminals/dem voters out of jail, all this goes to show is that dems will crawl in the gutter to get their way even when they know it is all BS and that bragg is simply pandering to the dem voters. Even trumps security have said they will not allow anyone to take/arrest him and it also has to be approved by a judge in the stste where trump is currently and they are not all fanatical dem voters so they will go by the law, it is a federal crime if anything not a state one so bragg is way out of his depth

I think you mean he undermined NATO, pulled out of a trade treaty that would have done far more to constrain China than his rants and tariffs/consumer taxes, and wasted money on ineffective border walls instead of improving security at entry points and cracking down on those who hire illegal immigrants.
