Pattaya — Over 100 Kuwaiti men obstructed Pattaya rescue services from rushing their injured friend to a hospital for no apparent reason. The men insisted on lifting their friend onto an ambulance themselves.

The bizarre incident unveiled today, August 9th, when the Sawang Boriboon rescue team was notified of a motorbike accident that left one Kuwaiti man injured on Soi Yen Sabai in South Pattaya. The rescue team immediately hurried to the scene of the incident at 4:30 AM to assist the tourist.

Upon arriving at the scene, the rescue workers stated that they found the narrow alley packed with over 100 Kuwaiti men. The group was encircling the injured person, Mr. Ahmad Jraoaalazmi, 22, a Kuwaiti national, who was likely their friend.

The rescue team then provided initial medical aid to his minor wounds around the body. However, when they attempted to transfer him onto an ambulance, they faced obstruction from the Kuwaiti men who insisted on handling the lifting themselves, resulting in a commotion.

Or take him to BPH emergency and a 10k + bill.

Reminds me of an incident several years ago at PIH. I was in the room getting some stitches removed from a minor operation.An Indian fellow was across from me just finished up getting several bandages applied from a moto accident.

The nurse brought the bill for about 2500 ฿ and he said way too much I'll give you 1 thousand...just like the fish market.

Should have arrested all of them for interfering with police business.

And....... I would like to know how it panned out before I figure who came off better.

This is a cultural thing. I have seen it many of times in Manama Bahrain.

What a motley bunch of camels.. they look like they all got the hump ????

I do believe it's a cultural thing.  Maybe no ambulance services in Kuwait.

A few perspectives on this one..

- Over 100 Kuwaiti men.. that’s some bachelor party !!

- on motorcycles.. fitting the stereotype & racing ?
- Some of the rescue services are a far cry from the ambulance service a we know it, I’d watch with extreme care & also intervene if I thought my friend was being handled poorly after an accident.

Then of course there is the cultural aspect & mob mentality…  back to 100 guys ragging it up & down the street at 4am….  Police anywhere to be seem?

(Response to LL in advance, I know it wasn’t reported they were racing, but….. we know they likely were).

Would you have intervened if you thought your friend was handling the motorbike incorrectly.

How is their insisting on lifting their colleague into the ambulance of the rescue team "interfering with police business"?

That was how they got the 2 knifes, strapped to his body, safely away.

Really Lou. You need to get out among 100 Kuwaiti's more often.

I do it every day and my wifey encourages me to go and drink in their sois.????????

I fail to see why these law breakers aren't just rounded up and deported with a black listed passport because they are causing more harm to residents and other tourists with their selfish behaviour than they are worth to the economy.

I suspect they fear a reaction whereby they might lose Arab tourists more generally.

They are here for the rainy season, it's hot in the middle east at the moment,

wow, This looks like a muslim geto seen in many major cities in the west, a place that is lawless and the police don't go, they have successfully invaded europe and the UK - what's the story here, what visa do they have - where are they getting money from ?

The cops need to check their visa status and start deporting these scumbags

The last three headlines"

Middle Eastern tourists pose policing challenges;

Indian tourist injured in a brawl with fellow Nationals;

100 Kuwaitis obstruct Pattaya Rescuers.

Is this a result of the high cost of air fares to Thailand from Europe?

The report says they were lifting their friend onto the ambulance. The first responders know it's safer inside.????

So all these fairly young men are out at 4.30 am causing problems?

From the article:

"The eyewitness also mentioned that this foreign group had been causing disturbances in the alley, riding their motorcycles loudly throughout the night, disregarding traffic rules, and not wearing helmets."

Not a cop to be seen apparently?

Are these guys tourists? They are certainly not retirees?
