Thailand’s new tourism promotional slogan for next year unveiled

The Thai government plans to promote tourism next year under the new slogan “Visit Thailand 2022, Now Even More Amazing Thailand Has It All”, together with investments as well as the setting up of a tourism promotional fund to transform Phuket into a world class destination.

 

The ambitious plan for Phuket and the tourism sector was approved during an online meeting today (Thursday) of the Centre for Economic Situation Administration, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.

 

A tourism promotion fund, with the support of the private sector and civil society, will be set up, not just to promote tourism but also to effect changes in the tourism industry for sustainable growth, as well as reducing as much red tape as possible to promote tourism.

The thing is that it's actually very easy to get tourists to come back. They want to come back, many of them. But you have to make it both easy and fun for them.

 

I'm in a well-known Thai beach resort right now. It's okay for me, despite all the silly restrictions, because I came just from Bangkok. I don't get why anyone would want to fly in for this in its current state though.

 

Let's not even talk about alcohol. I went to a restaurant in a shopping mall at just before 7pm. They told me they "close already". The mall itself closes at 8pm, curfew at 9pm. When you can't even get dinner at 7pm anymore, that's pretty darn ridiculous.

Haha. They are pushing the early dinners. maybe they think everybody is a senior citizen many of which tend to eat early when retired in the USA anyway.

it honestly reminds me of a car sales shop trying to sell me the freshly painted dud with filler and a blown engine and has the cheek to offer a payment plan - if you want this dog you have to pay up front for our insurance - stay in our expensive SHA hotel - we will test you for disease every 3 days and if you fail at any point we will shift you off to our covid slammer at your extra expense and how ### wonderful is that - an offer you cannot refuse
