Watched Queen & Slim yesterday on Netflix. Nice movie, good plot and amicable characters. Worth a watch.

Also finished Still Game (again). Brilliant! Even second time round.

I've been having issues trying to install the ITV Hub from the google playstore on my TV box. Possibly because my playstore account is for Thailand. There is an option to change country which is currently greyed out possibly because I think the number of allowed country changes is limited and I may have exceeded that limit. I think if I connect to the UK with my VPN I'll be able to create a new google account which can access the UK apps in the playstore. I'll try that soon.

You don't have to use a VPN to get a new Google account based on the UK. It just accepts whatever you tell it. And you're right, there are restrictions on changing the country for your account. So it's much easier just to create a new account and tell it you're based in the country you want to use, based on the app you're trying to download.

Last night I watched a movie that went under my radar from earlier in the year.

The Dig (2021) IMDb Rating 7.1, starring Ralph Fiennes, is an excellent historical drama about the 1938 Anglo-Saxon Sutton Hoo archaeological find in Suffolk, at the start of the Second World War.

It has all the elements of a good yarn!

That was last years (September) you mean Bert ?......... just 1 out this year I thought. I think they split the series  in 2 for some reason.

so there is 3 episodes of Series 11  out ......... yer good acting as always.

Quite enjoyed Memories of a Murderer - The Nilsen Tapes, I would have been in my late teens/early twenties at the time & it's funny how I don't remember Nilsen anywhere near as much as I do Sutcliffe (Yorkshire Ripper) - But I guess that's because there was no real manhunt for him... He was just caught & then everything he did came out in the press.

I watched "The Lost Daughter" (Olivia Coleman) expecting some kind of thriller... Most boring thing I've ever watched (which ironically meant that I didn't fall asleep watching it as I kept waiting for something to happen) - I normally enjoy watching her in things but this was just boring zzzzz

I downloaded a movie called "Pleasure", purely as a result of one IMDb feedback, and I was very disappointed because it was nothing more than a "soft" porn movie, trying to disguise itself as something else, or at least that was my opinion.

Not only that, I watched it for under 10 minutes and the acting was very amateurish indeed, and in that time it featured an erect penis, intercourse and the tiny tits of the lead actress, so I switched it off, but my main point is how on earth did it get a good IMDb rating and supposedly a good rating from another organisation?

The Tragedy of Macbeth----RARBG and everywhere

Joel Coen --(The Coen Brothers) has just released  latest Movie, Watched it last night , I liked it.

It has a stage feel to it---not for you BritManTo---its monochrome

Anyway No need to explain the plot---It's Macbeth.

Your going to love it "BertBloggs"..... set nearly a 1,000 years ago and the would be king of Scotland is black.

Denzel Washington plays great part along with Frances Mcdormand (she must be in in nearly all their movies)

Saw an amazing documentary on Youtube last night - Federaljacktube4.

They claim, and prove, it was not the Titanic that sunk in April 1912, it was her sister ship Olympic, and that it was done on purpose !!

The Olympic was seriously damaged the previous year and was economically non viable to run or repair. Plus The White Star Line was facing bankruptcy. The Titanic and Olympic were identical so a few days before the fatal voyage they switched the ships so it was the Olympic that sailed into history and was sunk on it's maiden voyage. Apparently it was easy to spot an iceberg miles away and the ship could easily have sailed around it. Also there was a "rescue" ship - the California, waiting at a set location to take on the "Titanic" passengers. But the captain of the California waited in the wrong location. The Titanic cost 10 million to build but days before the sailing they raised the insurance to 12.5 million, which was paid out days after the sinking.

Also both ships had their names embossed on their bow when they were built. When the submersable when down to the "Titanic" wreckage it looked at the bow and could only see the letters O and M !!

That makes sense as the last king of scotland was black...

Back on topic... I seem to recall this was a good movie (Forest Whitaker is brilliant in it).

Tv movie by Ron Howard. Pretty trashy, pretty funny.

Including four links.

The first is the entire movie though very bad quality but you have to watch the beginning part because a lot of that is not on the part 1 link. Then parts 1,2, and 3 are better quality.

Watch this until 12:50
