Picture: Thai Enquirer

Comment was rife online after acting PM Prawit Wongsuwan fell asleep during a meeting to discuss water management issues in Krabi in southern Thailand.

Thai netizens had a field day commenting about Prawit "having been a good boy who'd had his milk" but also at 77 needing that siesta much valued by the aged.

Thai Enquirer were kind saying in their article, that can be read here, that he has not dozed off so much recently.

But it takes that long to build the influence and the money to buy the position!

If all politicians fell asleep on the job we would be better off.

The USA would be a much better place today if this age amendment were voted into the constitution.  (And not just for Presidents, either.  All too many members of Congress are clearly unfit for purpose.)

winding his watch collection , which is not his .

Rollie Rolex dreaming of how to nail Prayut's impending comeback ????

He was meditating about what watch he would love to borrow from one of his many watch collecting friends ........

Didn't he know what time it was?

These watch jokes will follow him to his grave, possibly into history.

Why are the people complaining? Most Thais I know can fall a sleep at anytime or any moment so he must be a real Thai.....

And this Man is entrusted to run a Country in the absence of a Prime Minister.

He obviously needs a Vocational change or retirement.

Change Thai to Brazilian in your text and it would still be true.

You need hand grenades to wake them up!

Maybe that German guy with the picture was right.

His blood sugar appears to be out of whack.......

I think you must have joined the aged because your post does not make sense!  But there again you probably have very little responsibility other than for your self......oh sorry that it probably very hard work.  Written and submitted by someone who is 77 years of age and still running a Resort very successfully!

Bit sensitive you must be from government or was a half ass CEO that blood sucked your workers and claim it was done by you????

Your remark " no responsibility  " is the general view people like you who feel their S don't Stink.

Here in Thailand why would anyone want to retired and run a resort just shows your level of thinking although you feel necessary to brag your not of that age yet just show when you open your mouth you validate my point!

I did read a recent thread in ASEANNOW about "foreigners should not involve in the politics of this beautiful country" and attacking (with words) a German who was complaining of this sleeping beauty .....

And here I read noting else as foreigners complaining about politics in this beautiful country ....

Must be a parralell ASEANNOW version ...
Must be

And suddenly he woke up, hearing the words "flee Lolex";

"Asleep at the wheel" takes on a whole new meaning.
