Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan insisted that the 22 luxury watches that he did not claim as assets were borrowed from his close but since deceased friend despite a claim from the executor of the will that the deceased friend did not have any luxury watches on his list of inheritance.

“How would he know?” General Prawit replied to reporters while referring to Former Deputy Prime Minister Pridiyathorn Devakula, who is the executor of the will of the Prawit’s deceased friend, Pattawat Suksriwong.

“The watches are Pattawat’s heritage, but they were not on the inheritance list because there were no important documents for them,” Gen. Prawit said.

This overly rich, overly entitled, under talented, and not so intelligent creep deserves to be outed for his many crimes against the Thai people. If people knew the full extent of the corruption, rot,

  • Ever wonder what a toad with a fork tongue sounds like wonder no more, then wonder what the executor of a will's job is and wonder what's the point of having one if they don't need to know everything

"The watches are Pattawat’s heritage, but they were not on the inheritance list because there were no important documents for them,” Gen. Prawit said.

Yeah everybody knows that the world's most expensive luxury watches come with no authentication papers when they're sold.

Can we have a list of ALL the expensive items that were not listed due to no paperwork ? Who else got expensive unlisted freebies ?

This guy is harder to get rid of than Bernie Ecclestone.

So...he lied. Isn't that normal for Thai politicians?

These guys are untouchable...they cannot be moved!

This overly rich, overly entitled, under talented, and not so intelligent creep deserves to be outed for his many crimes against the Thai people. If people knew the full extent of the corruption, rot, and enrichment this administration has engaged in, there would be a revolution, and it is likely these goons would flee into exile. Instead, they rule the nation.

Woe is Thailand and it's people, under the reign of dinosaurs.

I think he probably meant that there were no documents for importing them.

I am sure that the good General has taken them under his wing to spare the bereaved family any distress in dealing with the matter.

What a noble gesture. He really is a "bon oeuff" as Phillipe Patek would say...

NB: the predictive text corrected the last line to "Phillipe Patel" - probably correct given the provenance of most of the " luxury watches" knocking around the country!

just have to wait a little: Then all these nitty gritty cases will be closed forever with the solemn statement "that was all a big mis-understanding on all sides..."

Jabba at his denial best, the fat controller is as bent as his underpants elastic under the strain from what's above.

I'm told that these watches have registration numbers, why not check with the manufacturer as to who bought the watches.

Why would they provide a list to you? What are you going to do with it?

Have the watches been given back to the beneficiaries of the will ?

Caption of the photo...

"Nothing to see here."

I'm imagining the leader of a rival political party surviving such a scandal. They would have had all their assets siezed, forced to flee the country, their party disbanded, and found guilty of spurious charges in absentia.

At least there's one thing he won't be getting when he retires.

Seems to be getting a little testy on the embarrassing story that won't go away.  Good.

Likely just one of his overseas LLC's used to shelter his massive, ill gotten fortune from scrutiny. Which name is his Swiss lakefront villa in? How about the Manhattan penthouse?

Bernie is a good bloke. Made his money through smart but fair business deals. A bit harsh to suggest he is remotely similar to Prawit dont you think ?
