How many people registered without supplying proof of underlying health problems?

Many people have hypertension that was diagnosed in their home country thus no "diagnosis card"

How many have other underlying health problems without having a "diagnosis card"

How does one get a "diagnosis card" here in Thailand?  The Dr.'s here write medication perscriptions but not diagnosis card.

Just get one at a clinic 72 hours before your appointment.

I am quite surprised at the low number of people that initially qualify for the first round, me being one of them.

Fingers crossed for next week.

There would be plenty more who would technically qualify, but they wanted proof of the health conditions through a doctor's letter.  All I have is a letter from Australia with my list of medications.  To qualify, I would then need to have a full consultation at a local hospital etc, and probably specialists to confirm my conditions, before a letter is issued.

I am sure there are plenty of other expats in the same boat, who did not want the extra delays and costs to register their medical conditions here.  Hence, why we opted out of that section.

Does anyone know what kind of doc we would get (vaccine passport) as prove of jabs, and will these jabs be recognised everywhere ie for flying etc? I don't see why it would matter where you get jabbed??

I am waiting for an appointment.....I registered very shortly after the website opened.

I am told by the email that I will have an appointment in my area, that the first dose will be Sinovac and the second will be Az or Pfizer.

My concern is that the Sinovac element of the vaccination will disqualify me from travelling to UK, EU, US, Japan etc. as these countries will inevitably require all vaccines used to be approved wherever you wish to travel to. Sinovac to my knowledge is not approved in any of these territories.

Does any know anything about this?

SinoVac is not approved in the Australian system. Australia has approved AZ, Pfizer and Moderna.

Beware of an sms sent to verified. It will probably be in the Thai language, so need someone to translate, better have that person available within the 24 hour deadline.

But I get vaxed in Thailand and return to the UK, my vax will not be recognised by the UK.

I think I'll pass thanks.

Thailand does not need recklessly self centered individuals risking theirs and the lives of others just because of a slight inconvenience. Deport yourself please, do us all a favor. You don't deserve to live here.

it is unbelievable these people still hesitant to take any kind of vaccine that is available, VACCINE IS NOT A CURE, it give your immune system something to fight against the virus, you can still get covid after vaccinating of any kind, let it be 60-70-80 or 90% effectiveness, you don't end up in a hospital on a ventilator, as long as the virus is still around you will need to re-take the vaccine all over again in the future.

I hope Thai immigration deports all recklessly irresponsible foreigners who are contributing to the pandemic because they don’t care about endangering others by refusing the vaccine. Unless you have a valid medical reason for refusing you should leave. You’re not welcome here.  I’ll help you pack.

Huh?

And who gonna do the dirty jobs then???

You know that most foreigners in Thailand are from Myanmar, Cambodia...?

Personally I don't even mind to pay for vaccine, paid for everything else here too...but least have a choice of options, and be it available for real, not in propaganda news.

Reading 10-20-50 million orders, but stop at the numbers, not reading that is Q1 2022 or who knows when to arrive...ie not likely the next 6 months...that won't help.

Even Thai can't get even the Sinovac or the local AZ. That is the fact right now.

only the Indian one is not recognized, the Thai one is .

I think you might have skipped over this in the article  .
EU green pass will only recognise the
Vaxzevria version of the AstraZeneca vaccine that was produced and manufactured in the United Kingdom or other sites around Europe, and thus approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Adjunct to this announcement, on August 5th I got an email from Democrats Abroad with in part the following:

"As of this morning, ThailandIntervac listed Pfizer vaccines available at 3 participating hospitals in Bangkok: MedPark, Bumrungrad and Samitivej, and it may be possible to schedule your shots directly."

Having my medical records at Bumrungrad Hospital and Hospital Number (HN), I emailed BH requesting registration (which I had also done in July with no response) and they quickly replied in email with same registration form. After submittal got a popup confirming receipt (which I did not get previously). See if any of my registrations (ie., expatvac) succeed.

40,000 plus, this seems like a logistical nightmare to organise particularly as there will be multiple venues around the country, staff to be allocated, appointments to be made, vaccine to be distributed etc and Thailand does not have a very good record regarding this type of thing.

Hopefully I am wrong and it will run smoothly but my many years resident here tell me otherwise.

Ok I am not in the LOS, bit down here in Aussie and by Christ I wish I wasn't, I'm in my 60's and have to get the AZ or nothing I want the Pfizer. Scot Morrison has been on to US to see if we can get Pfizer that they would give us Pfizer that they are throwing out but hasn't had a answer back they are doing the right thing and giving it to 3rd world country's. why should the US get us out of Morrison's stuff up.He only brought AZ because it was cheaper. Now that Delta has come I"m in NSW and we are getting over 200 cases a day and 7 deaths so far back in shut down again till 28-08 Victoria & Queensland shorter. So take it if you can get Pfizer take it. I miss the most of it but there are new and harder rules for Aussies trying to get back the reasoning they trying to stop the spreadingBut if you have money WELCOME COME ON IN. So stay put I would much rather be up there than this hell hole here even Phuket sandbox would be better. but as soon as Morrison lets us out and no quarantine I'm out of here To my beloved LOS the bar's will be opened by then. So take care.

I got my first Jab [Sinovac] yesterday at Central Mall in Khon Kaen. I was told there will be 3 Jabs. The first two will be Sinovac. There will be  a booster/3rd Jab of either AZ or Pfizer. The 3rd Jab will most likely be AZ as there will not be enough Pfizer in the country till well into the first quarter of next year.

I have underlying heart and lung conditions. I got the Jab yesterday and was asked about my heart/lung issues. They asked for a photo of the pills which I didn't have and still got the JAB. So take a photo for the pill box, wrapper or plastic bag it came in and I'm sure that will suffice.

Exactly.  SinoVac has been available at most hospitals throughout Thailand.  No way they will use it for foreigners, when this article had no mention of SinoVac.  It’s about the 150,000 Pfizer doses set aside for foreigners.

Don't put your money on that.. I got Sinovac yesterday. There were no choices

Sinovac efficacy against Delta strain is not considered to be sufficient, as data has revealed.  You will need a booster with another vaccine to be sufficiently protected.  This appears to be the workaround.  But this is one reason why people are against Sinovac.

Also, in the future, international travel will require travellers to be vaccinated with an approved vaccine, or else face costly quarantine, or even refusal by airlines to board the flight.  Sinovac is not currently recognized as an approved vaccine in many countries.

That may change your opinion.  Unless, your destinations of choice recognise Sinovac as an approved vaccine, or perhaps you don't care about travel (don't give a 'monkies').

Well look who's got it all worked out. Not. What do you know about the future, who even says that there is a future?? The second shot is AZ, by the way.

Don't fool yourself.. If you go to a  hospital here in Thailand they know all about your diseases.

Can anybody who has actually received any form of vaccination for SARS-cov-2 in Thailand please let us know what documentation (digital or paper-based) they received confirming their vaccination/drug used/drug source/batch number etc.

It's all well and good getting a vaccine shot, it's another issue entirely trying to prove it satisfactorily to airlines and bureaucrats, or to get the eventual Covid Passport that the authoritarians will definitely impose upon us.

41,000 expats in Thailand register for vaccine using Expatvac

Oh yes I can see a miss understanding occurring right hear. Expatvac  must be a new vaccine or a relabeled brand from you know how.

It doesn't say Expatvat vaccine.... It says as it is Expatvat registration site.....
