Locals in Chiang Mai claim convinced that the gods wrought havoc on Chiang Mai after two people recorded themselves having sex up against a sacred rubber tree.

The clip was on OnlyFans and was recorded on the old Chiang Mai to Lamphun Road.

Within three days a huge storm knocked down 10 sacred trees nearby, damaged 100 houses and brought down dozens of power poles and lampposts.

This, claimed the locals, was a direct result of the outrageous behaviour.

Daily News went to the area and pictured a man pointing to a tree where the deed apparently occurred.

Chiang Mai cultural affairs chief Wallop Namuangphrom called it shameful and highly inauspicious.

He said a "big bun" (large merit making ceremony) would be held to assuage the damage caused by the inappropriate act.

The provincial police chief Pol Maj-Gen Thawatchai Pongwiwattanachai also took a dim view and said police were hunting those responsible.

  • These peoples opinions are medieval at best, while you can't condone the act, saying such lunacy is an offense to all reasonable people.

  • No , but there is sure to be a big turnout when they reenact the crime.

If the couple get caught will they be brought to court and have to compensate for the financial damage ?

WOW!!! I'm sure this will been spun sooner or later onto foreigners and our lust for porn by the guilty couple. After all, if it wasn't for foreigners, none of this would EVER have happened ????

They will certainly be fined. Blamed for a storm and all it's damage?

I think even in Thailand the courts would find that a hard one to make stick...

Although that was just the opinion of one or  few people

Those trees along the Lamphun-CM highway can't be too sacred.
The locals have poured cement and asphalt around the bases of the trees choking the life out of them.  So now most all of those old, magnificent trees are sick with weak root structures and they will continue to fall in the future.

Sorry.  Is animism a revered religion?
When the trees fall they locals will blame everyone but themselves.  They are themselves to blame.
Bad people go 'boom boom' on rubber tree.

Please!  Wake up!

What a load of superstitious hogwash.

The real reason the gods wrought havoc is they were disappointed in the latest James Bond movie.

For those who wish to believe in Tree Fairies?  The more likely reason the trees are coming down is because the tree gods are mad as hell at the way man has treated their creations.

And they are mad as hell at all the men who cut the rest of the sacred rubber trees in Thailand and bleed the life out of them.

And I bet he has got a budget and a cousin who is a big bun specialist

When having sex its always safer to use a rubber!

Please don't give the medieval ages a bad rep.

This is Neolithic thinking.

Well, it seems that the amulets were on holidays or on annual leave; possibly enjoying themselves in Phuket or on Samui island enjoying some sandboxing?

Oh dear: Looks like they were bonking up the wrong tree

Thailand is an Animist country, truth be told.

Respectful Tribal people and the like are way ahead of these people who believe in hamlets, trees blessed sacred and God knows what other nonsense works for them, it’s not wander why they live in a bubble of their own ????????‍♂️
