Name the top three countries you would want to move to if you left Thailand other than your home country

The title says it.

Suppose you left Thailand whether by choice or force,  which countries OTHER than your home country would you want to move to?

Name your top three RANKED but if you only have one or two that's fine too.

This is open to all expats, working and retired.

Preferably name countries that you could legally move to long term. For example Vietnam, a working expat could, a retired expat couldn't.

Optionally post the reasons for your choices.

I considered doing a poll but by including all kinds of expats the list of choices would just be too long. That could have worked if it was limited to retired expats but it isn't.

Bhutan

The Marquesas

Madagascar

Taiwan

Vietnam

I prefer not to have rhymes or reason as to my selections, as the initial OP and inquiry tends to be somewhat convoluted by the usual manner. The list [forgive me, it's 5] just is what it is.

A small footnote: seems to be a running theme here of late regarding greener pastures elsewhere and getting the <deleted> outta Thailand. These related subject matters come in waves, historically, from TVF and ANF.

Farang angst.

Cambodia, The Philippines, maybe France as they have really cheap rundown farm houses for sale.

France would have been more of a goer without Brexit.

Vietnam would have been above France if they didn't keep changing VISA requirements.

Ireland

Portugal/Spain
Italy

The people of Ireland are wonderful.  With Portugal/Spain/Italy beautiful country.  EU standard of living and most modest cost of the EU countries.

Laos.  (At least for a little while)

Mexico. (Could make Mexico, in the right city, permanent)

Not in any order; Mexico, Czech Rep, Vanuatu, depending on mood.

Too old & lazy to leave, besides, quite happy and no real complaints.  If younger, I'd be gone, as 20 yrs is enough for any 1 place.  Wouldn't live anywhere permanently again, probably an RV and stay on the road.  Stay in the Americas, as used to be fluent in Spanish.

Major plus about Thailand, can do that here, without the RV as hotels are cheap.  Just the country is so damn small.  Been around it more than a few times already, though do seem to find some new & interesting stuff every time.  Out & about again very soon.

Tasmania, Malaysia, Vietnam.     ( in any order )

Tasmania- very cool moderate temperature, has picturesque scenery, mountains, fishing, canoeing and lots to do.

Malaysia- friendly people, slightly moderate, plenty of greenery and beaches.

Vietnam- cost of living is reasonable, very open culture, some nice beaches and mountainous regions.

Philippines, Belgium and Vietnam. Cost and life style. Lived in Belgium for 6 years when in the military.

Japanese women are starved for love.

Please just refer to the demographics.

It's like about 0.8, maybe.

Although, having been celibate since before 2000, the Japanese government would not welcome me.

My only advice is, no matter where you might go...

Please take as many pairs of women's H&M jeans as the airline will allow.

All women love H&M jeans.

The problem is, wherever you may go, there you are ! Geography doesnt always correct the issue.

It's not a problem here, when we do our best to plug ads which support TV.

Also, most women love H&M jeans.

Although, nothing wrong with USD200.00 designer jeans, form fitted, with sequens, etc.

Colombia - Never goes too cool, very friendly, decent food and affordable.

Portugal - Great cafes/coffee, dual language Portuguese/English, compact, plentiful public transport, good National Health Service. Unfortunately, can get uncomfortably cool compared to Thailand.

Brasil - Obviously a huge Country. Prefer Bahia State, inland, warm and friendly. You still hear Bossa Nova played on acoustic guitars.
