Video: Don't leave me my Thai love! Foreigner clings to hood of car in reconcilliation attempt!

A 35 - 40 year old foreigner made the national Thai news after an unusual attempt to stop his Thai girlfriend from leaving him.

He clambered onto the hood or bonnet of a car that was then driven off a short way down the road in Prachinburi.

Behind the wheel was a ladyboy who tried unsuccessfully to chase the man away.

He just got back on.

He was trying to get back together with a Thai woman who was sitting in the car.

Channel 7 said this was no way to resolve differences and could result in danger to those involved and other road users.

Amarin TV - well know for being a tad more sensational - began their report with some "Don't leave me!" and OMGs.

They said the pair had recently split up and that the foreign was Portuguese.

The problem is they are smart enough to have it put in their name and nothing you can do about it .

Not quite. The problem is the farang is NOT smart enough to NOT put it in their Thai partner's name, etc..

This sort of victim blaming is 100% acceptable IMHO.

Looks like he wanted to be 'taken for a ride' just once more for old times sake.

Sounds a lot like the average Thaivisa poster with their horror stories about woman leaving them with their money.

That's exactly who he was saying "Dont leave me my love" a man and his car must not be parted......but if the GF, well ex, had a ladyboy already, she is playing the field.....while still having sausage.

So, after watching this video I come to the conclusion that even water buffalos can turn transgender.

And drive Fortuners.

Obviously the ladyboy had more than he could offer, giddy up !

The saying "don't fall in love with the birds in LOS" sometimes makes sense, really good sense, but too often realized in the unbearable bright light of hindsight...:whistling:

A very good point.  This man was clearly going against the ethos of safe driving which, as we all know, is a cornerstone of Thai culture!  :cheesy:

I can never understand how some men (and women) think that acting like a desperate crazed stalker nutjob can appeal to the person that just dumped them.  If anything, it reinforces the reason why they were dumped in the first place.  This farang dude is pretty pathetic.

This is really sad! I hurts to look at. How can you sink that low?

My thoughts exactly.

It's still better than how some Thai's handle it.  I.E. murder.

If you pay for it and they are smart enough to have it in their name then maybe someone in that equation is just stupid...

How undignified

Maybe it wasn't his or her car but maybe it was the ladyboys car as he was the driver. But pathetic action by the farang. Needs to grow up and act like a manMaybe because of his age he needed her so that he could scam a marriage extension to be able to stay here.

It's a car, not a house with land.  The cars I had in Thailand were always in my name.

Some will also transfer straight into their mothers name, so that in the instance that you split up its trickier to get the car back from them as its not longer in their name.

Why would you need to be smart when you have just brought the love of your life a new car and of course you are happy to put it in their name, you are planning the rest of your life together, why on earth would it matter who's name its in.

Of course in hindsight it was a ridiculous idea but at the time it a commitment to you wife or gf.

I guess he'd already tried standing outside her house holding a boombox above his head playing Peter Gabriel....
