The FBI is raiding Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump’s resort home in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said Monday evening.

 

In a lengthy statement, Trump said his residence is “currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents.”

 

The raid was “unannounced,” Trump said.

After nearly 6 years of massive interdepartment investigations of every aspect of Trump's life, the multitude of accusations against him of various crimes remain unproven. Must be getting painful for the authorities now, hence this ridiculous move to raid Trump's home.

Trump has already called on his base to “protest like they never seen before” if he is indicted. 
A sudden increase is security presence at the court houses in NY, GA or DC will indicate the arrest is imminent.

He is not yet convicted. That doesn't mean he didn't do the crimes.

In almost any other country a traitor like him would be in jail or executed already.

There are tons of evidence out there against Trump.

Prosecute him, arrest him, put him behind bars and make sure to expose all his crimes and the people who supported them.

 

There was a time when people looked up to the USA - a very long time ago.

The FBI wouldn't do this lightly of course. They would have had to justify such a decision to the highest levels. Be interesting, to say the least, as to what they find.

Agreed. The FBI headed by a Trump appointee isn’t going to a judge for a search warrant of Trump unless they are damn sure a crime has been committed. 

 

My guess is that it is the National Archives that is in search of missing documents and that they had good reason and evidence he had the documents.   The docs may not be classified, but they are still the property of the government.  

 

I doubt they are looking for the missing silverware.

Perhaps you didn't notice, but he tried to overthrow the democratically elected govt. He did absolutely nothing for 187 minutes as his cult stormed the Capitol intent on hanging the VP.

 

He should be charged with sedition, a capital offense. If found guilty, he should be executed, per the law.

I'm not even a fan of Trump (nice deflection though). I thought he had some good policies and some bad policies, and while he could come across as a bit of a loose cannon at times I never really understood the Left's unhinged obsession with him. It was bordeline psychotic at times.

 

That said, as a non-Amercian neutral observer it's painfully obvious to see what is happening over there. The way the FBI are going after him is in total contrast to the way they dragged their feet over Hunter Biden's laptop. The political situation (and the bulk of the American MSM) is a total disgrace and a complete embarrassment for the US. Unfortunately, those with skin in the game are too distracted to see the bigger picture, or too heavily invested to care.

 

The loser is the country, and more evidently it's reputation. Other countries used to look up to you guys. Now we just shake our heads when we read stories like this. Descending to banana republic status.

It speaks volumes that we don't know which ongoing investigation of the former president this warrant was issued for.

Did you look at any news in the last year? And I mean news, not right-wing propaganda channels?

Because if you followed the news, even just a little, you should have noticed that Trump did a lots of things for which the punishment is jail.

And people should go to jail for crimes independent of the politics. If he is guilty, then he is guilty. And if not then he has nothing to worry about.

If this is due to unlawful removal of classified material and he is convicted for that, it will lead to disqualification of holding any public office.

You may be a non-American, but you are absolutely not a neutral observer.  Do you even understand how a search warrant is obtained?  There has to be suspicion that a crime was committed, that evidence exist at the premises to be searched, and that the person being searched may destroy/delete said evidence.  And this has to be presented to a federal judge who has to concur and approve.  The DOJ certainly wouldn't do this in such a charged political environment unless they have an airtight case. 

 

As for Hunter Biden....the freakin guy never held office or worked in the federal government.  If there was reasonable suspicion that he committed a crime, Trump's own justice department could have done something.  But there was nothing.  Just because you've been brainwashed by right wing media doesn't mean you make any sense or have any idea what you're talking about.

I saw that he was accused of a lot of things by the radical left. I thought the US still had due process, innocent until proven guilty? Or have the far left removed this along with freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of thought etc?

 

I agree people should go to jail irrespective of their politics. Which makes the Hunter Biden debacle even more puzzling.

Imagine they find the alleged tapes which Putin sent him with Trump and the girls in Moscow.
