or if no valid license?

Doesn't matter about the drunkeness as insurance already invalidated.

Many factors, including engine size, valid licence, tax, insurance (this is separate from travel insurance as the bike insurance also has to be in place) wearing a helmet and sobriety.

There's no way the bike insurance or the travel insurance would pay out in this situation.

you said this

"The bike should have compulsory insurance to deal with third parties in the event of a problem with the vehicle..."

My question is - you think this insurance is still valid whilst the driver is pissed and probably without a license?

I am not a Brit, but fully agree with you! Question is, why is it so and is it mainly the younger guys that think that way?

Because many of the older ones are too fat and overweight to be able to run.

Good on the guy for showing tourists are no walkover. Most of the foreigners here would just pay up.

This is what you imagine. There seems to be a video of a guy getting cold cocked... I don't see any room for an excuse...
