Daily News reported on three cases of illegal migration in Kanchanaburi busted by police in the western province.

The first involved the arrest of the wife of a well known politician in Sangkhaburi district - that borders Myanmar.

She was stopped with four migrants in a Yaris car. They had paid her 7000 baht per adult 4000 baht for a child.

She has a gems business and a tourism business in Myanmar.

In other cases several migrants were found in cars. Case 2 involving two migrants may be linked to the woman also.

Thailand has been cracking down on gangs involved in smuggling migrants workers - often with the connivance of bent authorities - after many tested positive for Covid sparking the second wave of the pandemic in the country.

The more publicity it gets, the higher the price to make it go away.

Thailand's ridiculous criminal defamation laws are a major hindrance when it comes to real journalism.

The colour and size tell me the legs of an illegal immigrant that has not been noticed yet.

Surely a mistake !

Either way guilty or not there's going to be plethora of brown packed envelopes needed to rectify this misunderstanding

my thoughts exactly!

They must have all climbed unnoticed into Her car when she made a stop at 7/11 for a burger.

Look at  www.world-today-news.com

In the search bar at the top of the page try looking for 'Catch the wives of famous local politicians'

Hi So involvment shows why government is reluctant to stem this tide of infection. Doesn't matter how many Thais or immigrants die in the relentless desire to profit And we still wait for immunisation to commence?

Yet, they can post pictures of 10 policemen pointing at an accused person before trial and conviction !

The woman has no regard for the health of a nation . People like her have created the second wave of covid 19 affecting millions of people . If they can jail someone for sharing information on the net concerning  the king for 43 years then 86 years jail would be just and fair for the illegal smuggling of migrants .
