Yesterday (Thursday), the prime minister and his security team were confronted by disapproving local residents during his visit to Nonthaburi province.

 

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha was visiting there to inspect the flood walls along the Chao Phraya River and was greeted by both supporters and opponents.

 

A scuffle broke out as some protesters recognised the prime minister’s van as it arrived at Nonthaburi pier, where some were seen kicking it and throwing water bottles and pungent fermented fish (known as “Pla Ra”) at the vehicle.

He's embarrassing the country, they should be reprimanding him !

You know the locals aren't happy when they are prepared to waste their beloved pla ra!

 

If he doesn't buck his ideas up  then next time they will probably be throwing canned fish...ouch!!

I thought that Pla Ra was banned as a biological or chemical warfare weapon. 

Hopefully this becomes a regular occurrence.

 

Thai fermented fish thrown at PM’s..

It would have a horrible act of treason had an imported non Thai fermented fish were used against the PM...

In some countries they throw with shoes, so he must feel lucky that it was only fish.... He only shows his face because he needs support but the more people yell at him and throw fish and demonstrate the more he will feel that his expired and time to go

People were also chanting "ai hia tuu" just as the crowd at Chaiyaphum did.

People are on hard times, they love their Pla Ra, but will to throw it at their head of government, that shows anger, and rightfully so

At 1.34 in the video, was he really donating food to a working food vendor? 

I'm guessing this is why he wont be seen doing walk-arounds until after the next election

Counter productive, the poor will be filleted and more repression

Maybe the General will start to get the idea that him flashing through peoples hardships is starting to wear thin.

Must have been a 1,000 police on duty for his boat ride jaunt now he wont be able to go anywhere without 5,000 in attendance he is so lucky no one chucked a pineapple without a pin in it. I think his popularity may have peaked  ????

He won't go until he is forced out, it's in his DNA, guys like him never do and in his own mind he believes he is doing a great job and everybody loves him.

I doubt it, if he works out how much people dislike him, he will "stay indoors".

In a recent field trip to Ayutthaya, crowds came out and showed him the 3 fingers salute and the single middle finger. ????

I like the way he is one of the few wearing a lifejacket to stand on a riverside.

 

I saw a video in the week where he was being pushed around in a fiberglass boat by others walking in the floodwater.

 

Strange guy, oblivious, totally disconnected from reality, delusional. 

The first time I personally regret, that Thais ferment only the small fish. If possible I would have advocated a sperm whale in fermented stage for the Prime Clown!
