THE ATTORNEY GENERAL said yesterday (Aug. 2) that the statute of limitations on cocaine use charge against Red Bull heir Vorayuth “Boss” Yoovidhya, who is wanted in a hit-and-run incident that led to a policeman’s death in Bangkok on September 3, 2012, has expired, Amarin TV said.

The lawsuit would now be solely on the charge of reckless driving leading to death but the statute of limitations on this too is expiring in September 2027.

Mr. Prayut Petchkunm, the office’s deputy director-general and deputy spokesman, said the repeal of the Narcotics Act of 1979 on Dec. 9, 2021 led to the automatic expiry of the cocaine charge against him.

It would be interesting to know the history of this change in the law in 2021. Seems a curious time to go soft on cocaine usage.

Not really a legal system here - I mean for those at the top, more of a joke really. I'm surprised they could find a deputy-deputy to drop this news.

The Statute of Limitations period should be pasued when the alleged criminal is out of the country on the run.

"The Statute of Limitations period should be pasued when the alleged criminal is out of the country on the run."

But that defeats the reason to leave the country on the run.

The way Red Bull do things is pretty reckless and ruthless at times.

You have anything to back up what you say, or did you just make it up based on nothing at all?

A rich driver knows they can plow through 100 farmers on bad motorbikes on their way to the resort.    100 times 500 bath is cheaper than being late for latte!!!!   Especially if checking Tik-Tok on the way.......

Sports Minister more likely given the times he has been spotted at F1 venues over the years.

Every time I cross that intersection I'm looking for some dweeb in a sports car ready to mow me down in the crosswalk. Years later.

But this thread is not about the West or the rest of the world. It is about the "Boss" the Thai Red Bull heir and in Thailand escaping Thailand has nothing to do with lawyers, Its all about how much you can bribe people and/or possibly, which is more the case here, how well your family gets on with the person or persons who control this country.

Best lawyer? I don't remember this going to court for a trial. That's what would happen in a developed country with a decent police force/legal system.

The fact that the police have refused to act despite one of their own being killed simply confirms Thailand's status as a corrupt, third world country with a few fancy hotels.

All he needs to do when he returns is dress well, get a beautiful celebrity girlfriend and attend a few hiso events in a Lamborghini and the majority of the locals will be idolizing him. Because it is money and beauty that counts in Thailand, not morals.

You would be well advised to continue exercising caution when crossing any road, and its not just sports cars keep an eye out for Pick ups and motorcycles too

TVF myth, I don't believe it.  Not one single photo of him in Thailand, not one.

  • Popular Post

Its always fun to see the self righteous and outraged  TVF  members getting their knickers in a twist over this story,

But I wonder, how many of you , if involved in a similar situation, and with similar wealth and options available. to you would actually behave any differently
