Tough guy, kicks a woman who is sitting down in the back. Deport this fool.    Poor woman, I hope she is OK. 🙏

In both scenarios of this situation, I see the swiss guy as totally guilty.   1-  A foreigner living in Thailand, being the first to become agressive and violent over no provocation from the

The case raises possible concerns about anti-foreigner sentiment.

Is there similar anti-Thai sentiment from Thais over this mass murderer? Or only over a foreigner who kicked someone?

To late to be sorry now!

Not if he had been Thai.  A gaap and 500 baht and all would have been good.

Feeling unnecessarily aggrieved again then Barry?

Excellent news. Real men do not kick women. And decent men are grateful for the gifts they have given in this life and do not inflict their foul, toxic minds on others.

Lock him up and let him have fun with the inmates. They will likely be far less tolerant of his bad attitude.

Now his sanctuary will be checked up on to. My wife says he rents elephants to collect money?

How much rent is paid for the elephant he calls a wife :whistling:

And they say any/all publicity is good publicity, I think not in this case. Boycott his Elephant camp.

You miss the point. The fact that he is a foreigner is totally irrelevant, so why should it generate anti-foreigner sentiment? Thais often do far worse. There doesn't seem to be any public backlash against his Thai wife who was also involved in the abuse. Funny, that.

No consequences, no guilt

I just got translated what his wife said on the video, doesnt look good for them. A genius move to tape the incident 👏

And then release it…. What a d-head

I've been trying to think of something clever to say about this, but the story has too many holes.

she sat on steps leading from a million baht-a-month seaside residence.

He's got some serious wedge if her rents for a million baht/month. This will be sttled out of court if he has any sense.

It seems he also blames the Chinese for his actions. He stated a group of them trespassed on the property earlier in the day and observed his wife in the pool. He thought they were back!

As is often the case with this sort of incident, money talks. If he offers enough to his victim, it won't get to court. May cost him a couple of months' rent.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour.  Trash like this swiss guy give the many decent well-meaning expats in Thailand a bad reputation. Throw him in jail, then deport him for life.

So where are your hi-so connections now, Mr. Loudmouth?!

How I love guys like that! First they run their big, fat <deleted> mouth,  "you know who I am? Do you know who I know?", and then when the <deleted> hits the fan they apologize "profusely" to try to save their asses!

I hope he gets deported because he needs to be taught a lesson!

I just hope she sticks solid and doesn’t accept a payoff so this grub faces the full consequences of his actions

bet there’s some nervous local officials who are no doubt complicit in the “elephant sanctuary” scam ….

Thais took offense to the act of kicking another Thai on the back while she was sitting facing away from him harmlessly. People in Asia took offense to being kicked like a dog because it denotes a lower status ( regard) of the person being kicked. I witnessed a scene in India while sitting in a car driven by an Indian friend visiting his huge home. He was driving me back to my hotel from his home where upon reaching his house gates which was a distance from his house, the gate did not open because the guard was snoozing ( maybe drunk? ) siting by the gate. Wordlessly he just emerged from the car , walked over to the guy and literally kicked him repeatedly like a dog. That, was a cultural eye opener for me.

One of the idiocies of news reporting is that you are required to say allegedly until they are convicted. Even if someone video tapes themselves murdering someone and admits to it, I believe it's still "alleged" until they are convicted.

As in the Mikado "let the punishment fit the crime". Sounds like a minor assault i.e. no injuries, followed by a slanging match. Maybe a hefty fine and the Thai equivilent of a good behaviour bond might suffice. Hardly grounds for deportation even though his actions can only be described as entitled and abhorrent.

A few nice English words would have done the trick. No f-bombs necessary, definitely no violence needed. His behavior was deplorable. He must have forgotten that he is a farong in Thailand. Turns out the steps are on public property. I say charge him as necessary and possibly convict/ jail/ and investigate his potentially illegal business. Does he have a business visa/work permit? If not, this could be grounds for deportation.

Looks like the Wai, which he probably never uses, didn't work in this case......:clap2:

Now why would this creep kick a bird sitting on beach steps..........:crying:

I hope he is not rich, which could brush aside a fine, give him a week in the slammer and pay the lady damages...........:intheclub:

get him out of the country, with no chance of a return. We have enough foreign idiots here, and having one less would be nice. Ciao!

He is only 46 probably only got married so he can stay here. I wonder if she lied to him also about having influential friends. In story photo she has blond hair, and yet here is a photo from another source.
